Tonight, I present one of my favourite Dior ball gowns. Called the “Elizabeth”, after Empress Elizabeth of Austria, this magnificent piece of haute couture takes its influence from the paintings of Franz Xaver Winterhalter. Photographed for Vogue in 1951.
