In a significant step towards strengthening mutual understanding, professional cooperation and coordination between Delhi Police and the legal fraternity, a joint meeting was held on October 30, 2026. The meeting was attended by senior officers of Delhi Police and representatives of the Bar Council of Delhi, the Coordination Committee of All District Bar Associations of Delhi and the Executive Committees of various District Court Bar Associations. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with participants engaging in an open and meaningful discussion on issues concerning police personnel and members of the legal fraternity. It was agreed that the Joint Coordination Committee would serve as an institutional platform for addressing grievances through dialogue, consultation and mutual understanding, both at the district level and at the Police Headquarters level. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the relationship between Delhi Police and the legal fraternity, fostering a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation, preventing avoidable misunderstandings and ensuring the smooth functioning of the criminal justice system.
