Today, we remember Lori Piestewa, the first Native American Woman to die in combat, leaving behind her parents & 2 children. We recognize her ultimate sacrifice, a testament to the strength of our Native women veterans. Our women are warriors, & we are thankful for their service.

4/ Let’s also act. There’s so much one can do to help counter extremism. Volunteer for a local non-profit focused on a cause you care about. Condemn hate. Speak up against ignorance. Most of all, show kindness. Kindness builds trust and trust is what holds democracy together.
