As #geopolitical competition intensifies, alliances shift and new #security, technological and economic challenges reshape the international system, #Africa cannot afford to approach the future through reactive diplomacy.
At the #GrandStrategyFellowship Forum 2026, Dr. Kizito Sabala, PhD, Chairperson of the @IntRelationsKe & Senior Lecturer at the @uonbi Institute of #Diplomacy and International Studies, will set the agenda for the Global Security & Foreign Policy Leadership (GSFPL) track.
The discussion will examine the capabilities required to navigate the emerging geopolitical order from #geopolitical analysis and strategic foresight to negotiation, economic diplomacy, technological governance, strategic communication and crisis management.

We hosted an insightful fireside conversation exploring Rwandaโs journey of survival, forgiveness, reconciliation, and national rebuilding.
The discussion featured Josiane Umulinga, author of Survived to Forgive, in conversation with Dr. Winnie Rugutt, Head of International Relations and Diplomacy.
The event also featured a keynote address by the Ambassador of Rwanda to Kenya, highlighting Rwandaโs experience in national healing and post-conflict reconstruction.
Organised by the International Relations Society of Kenya (IRSK), through the Nairobi International Book Club, in partnership with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and Riara University, the engagement offered valuable reflections on the power of forgiveness, resilience, and the pursuit of lasting peace.
