As predicted the iPhone Duo app issue was complete nonsense.

EVERYONE IS CHASING BETTER AI MODELS. ALMOST NOBODY IS BUILDING THE INFRASTRUCTURE TO USE THEM.
That clip shows a Mac Mini mounted behind a monitor, completely out of sight. No server rack. No noisy workstation. No desk clutter. Just a tiny machine quietly running in the background.
The interesting part isn't the hardware. It's what the hardware enables.
Local AI agents. Private workflows. Automations running 24/7. No cloud bill growing every month. No waiting for someone else's servers.
A few years ago, this setup would've needed a dedicated server room. Today it fits behind a monitor.
The biggest shift in AI isn't the models getting smarter.
It's that the computers powerful enough to run them are becoming invisible.

After testing the iPhone 18 Pro Max against the REDMAGIC 12 Pro and more specifically Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme Gen 6, it appears Apple finally caught up and potentially surpassed Qualcomm this year when it comes to performance per watt and efficiency. I still think the REDMAGIC 12 Pro is better for gaming due to better emulation support/access and REDMAGIC’s software increasing the FPS cap on certain games due to their 185hz display. Plus, all the gaming features such as shoulder triggers, high-touch sampling rate, game enhancements, etc. But needless to say, at the end of the day, Apple definitely is ahead the Snapdragon in raw chip performance. ⬇️

Tim Pan did another great test! Love the detailed display testing, especially the brightness and fingerprint resistance. This looks WOW!
I'll be upgrading my MacBook M3 Pro to this new Touchscreen MacBook soon. This is definitely going to help with video editing and my overall workflow.
