"BROWN OCEAN EFFECT" -
New weather terminology learned today .
The brown ocean effect is a weather phenomenon where a tropical storm or hurricane maintains or increases its strength after moving over land, instead of weakening as it normally would.
Normally, storms weaken over land because they lose access to warm ocean water, which provides heat and moisture. Under the brown ocean effect, wet land acts like a substitute ocean. in this case Godavari river acts as "brown Ocean effect"

Telangana had whopping 73,39,235 duplicate votes 😱
Out of context: In 2023 assembly elections, Congress and BRS parties have got 92,35,833 votes and 87,53,956 votes respectively.
In the state of Telangana, the procedure and the guidelines of SIR was duely followed and enumeration forms (EFs)were distributed to all electors and filled in EFs were taken back and draft rolls were prepared after excluding the names from whom EFs were not received. The non returned EFs consisted of persons who have died, permanently shifted, absent, duplicates. Out of total 3,38,26,448 Electors, in state of Telangana, 2,64,87,213 Electors have been included in the draft Roll.
73,39,235 Electors have been moved to ASDD Category, out of which, 57,46,803 Electors are Absent/Shifted, 9,22,229 Electors are in Dead category and 6,70,203 Electors are Duplicate Votes.The same were moved to ASDD Category. This was done only after House-to-House visit and due enquiry by BLOs and not done unilaterally.Also opportunity has been given to left out Electors during the period of Claims and Objections for filing their claims if any. Another opportunity by way of Special Camps on 15th and 16th, October, 2026 was taken up and ensured that *Every Eligible Elector is added and no ineligible elector remain in the Electoral Roll. The whole process and procedures were duely followed.

Thankfully Arnab has indeed started to deterioate on final appraoch, as easterly shear starts to take its toll. Visakhapatnam radar indicates that the eyewall has become open to the northeast. Arnab is weakening but remains a very dangerous cyclone as it nears landfall.

Arnab may be peaking or have already peaked in strength. The Category 4-equivalent cyclone has taller, colder cloud tops now, signifying strength, but the eye seems to be losing definition on infrared.

Close look at radar shows #Cyclone #ARNAB's tiny, intense inner core is deteriorating, perhaps due to ERC (eyewall replacement cycle). This will end strengthening & may even lead to weakening. One tradeoff: ERC will yield larger core & wider coverage of destructive winds. #India

Arnab is intensifying into a severe cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal.
It will make landfall near the Krishna River, bringing impacts to Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, #India.
