If this was 2006 Josh Turek would be taking about defending traditional marriage. If this was 1956 Josh Turek would be talking about keeping white and black kids to their own spaces. He would be just as spineless in any era, it’s how he is. Nobody’s free until everybody’s free

Can’t wait for the NY Times to do a write up on Rob Sands’ connection to his billionaire in-laws who make cancer-causing pharmaceuticals in a state with insanely high cancer rates
NYT: An Iowa Republican’s Unusual Connection to the Kochs
If there is one thing that Zach Lahn, the Republican nominee for governor of Iowa, definitely does not want to talk about, it’s his connection to the Koch family.
To hear Mr. Lahn tell it, he is a self-made businessman, a father of seven and a farmer running against powerful corporate interests. He has campaigned on his financial independence, pointing to the $2.5 million he lent himself during the primary.
He rode that cash and a right-leaning brand of prairie populism to the nomination, defeating President Trump’s preferred pick in the primary. Now he is facing Rob Sand, the Democratic state auditor, in a race that Democrats view as one of their best shots to flip a governorship.
But there is a more complicated tale of Mr. Lahn’s rise that is interwoven with the Kochs, one of America’s richest and most influential political dynasties.

Iowa Senate candidate Josh Turek’s campaign ad coming out against major tenets of transgender activism has ignited a fire of fury on Bluesky, with leading activists such as Erin Reed demanding followers not vote for him and ask for their money back.
Shame on @turek4iowa!
9 Days Out... Dems having a bad weekend. @turek4iowa imploding with his base. #IASen
I don't think his ad gets him a single vote. But hey, we love Dem consultants. #Blessed
Hey @turek4iowa ... take note. THIS is how you take a stand on human rights.

My opponent grew up in Portland, Oregon. She lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Massachusetts before moving to Iowa ten years ago.
She immediately ran for office, skipped over 50% of votes in the legislature, and voted to give illegals state-funded benefits and sex changes for minors when she did show up.
We don't judge her for not being from here. We judge her trying to bring her Portland, Oregon values to Iowa.
Laura will be forced to walk this back before Election Day!
This is a very risky ad IMO.
Turek cannot afford to have any significant number of Democratic base voters leave the Senate line blank. #IASen

Shame on Sarah Trone Garriott!
Sarah Trone Garriott is so desperate to hide her radical record that she sent her DC Democrat thugs after a mother who dared to speak out.
The Washington Post refused to include the mother's story or any of her comments in full. They ought to be asking Sarah Trone Garriott why she supports sex-change surgeries for children and letting men play in girls’ sports.
Instead, they’re doing her campaign’s dirty work.
.@lyd__hall is a patriot.
Yikes, this is the "redhead" the @DCCC actually recruited and thought could win.
