Mark Wahlberg was taking a lie detector test when he was asked if he was an Israeli agent. His response: “I have affiliates with Mossad, yes.” WTF? Then they claim he was supposed to be on one of the planes that struck the World Trade Center, but claims he was so hungover that he missed the flight. Not sure about you all, but I don’t believe in coincidences to that extreme.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Mark Wahlberg's "Mossad" response was from a 2018 Vanity Fair comedic lie detector test, treated as a joke by the interviewer. He changed his Flight 11 booking in advance for Toronto, unlike Seth MacFarlane who missed it hungover. vanityfair.com/video/watch/ma… bostonherald.com/2011/09/11/day…

JCB has received official approval to sell and deploy its hydrogen combustion engine for real-world use. This marks a major milestone for heavy machinery transitioning away from fossil fuels. Unlike electric-only solutions, this engine runs on hydrogen but maintains the familiar performance and refueling speed of diesel equipment. That makes it especially practical for construction and industrial operations. Hydrogen combustion produces no CO₂ at the tailpipe, addressing one of the hardest sectors to decarbonize. Heavy-duty machines are responsible for a significant share of industrial emissions globally. By adapting internal combustion rather than replacing it entirely, JCB is offering a lower-disruption path to cleaner machinery. Existing workflows, skills, and infrastructure can still be used. The approval signals growing regulatory confidence in hydrogen as a viable fuel for industry. It also suggests that zero-emission construction sites may arrive sooner than expected.

PETITION STARTED BY LEAH’S PARENTS - please sign and share 🙏 Our daughter Leah Croucher went missing on 15 February 2019, walking to work. Her body was found three and a half years later, in the loft of a house half a mile from our family home. The man who killed her, Neil Maxwell, was a convicted sex offender with a history of serious offending going back to 1998. Months before Leah disappeared, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman and was sentenced to a Community Order, not prison. The Probation Service wrongly classified him as medium risk instead of high risk. He then missed a number of Probation appointments, and a police officer raised concerns about his lack of communication just weeks before Leah went missing. He evaded arrest for six months. During that time, he murdered Leah and took his own life. The Coroner ruled that Leah was unlawfully killed, and that failures by the Police and Probation Service in monitoring Maxwell "may have played a part" in her death. That's why we, Leah's parents, are calling for Leah's Law: a mandatory minimum prison sentence for anyone convicted of a third sexual offence.  Mandatory minimums already exist for domestic burglary and Class A drug trafficking. There's no justifiable reason sexual offending should be treated more leniently. By a third conviction, it is self-evident that the offender has not been sufficiently deterred from further offending. Where a case falls below that threshold, we are calling for a District Judge to oversee sentencing in all repeat sexual offence cases, so a decision like the one that let Maxwell walk free can never be made again. This would have ensured he had no opportunity to kill Leah, and that the risk he presented on his release would have been vastly reduced. Sign for Leah, and for every family this could still protect. change.org/p/leah-s-law-mand…

🚨 A 15-year-old boy was woken by four West Midlands Police officers banging on his door. Fraser, a schoolboy and Reform UK activist, was arrested in front of his neighbours, bundled into a police car and held overnight in a cell. His mugshot and DNA were taken; even his shoes were confiscated. While he was in the cell, officers searched his bedroom at home. His “crime”? Criticising a Conservative councillor for wearing shorts and a T-shirt to a council meeting, then joking on social media that the councillor “was not looking like a rent boy” when he wore a suit. Fraser also posted an altered photograph of the councillor wearing bunny ears. In what self-respecting democracy should a child be arrested for criticising an elected politician? The Free Speech Union is supporting Fraser and has taken on his case. His lawyers received an email from West Midlands Police stating that “it is alleged that your client’s comments could be considered a hate crime offence”. Months later, Fraser is still waiting to learn whether he will be charged. Speaking to the New York Post, FSU Director of Legislative Affairs Sam Armstrong said: “Broadly speaking, several thousand people a year are being arrested for… ‘offensive speech’ in the UK.” Since 2020, the FSU has handled more than 7,000 cases involving people whose free speech has been infringed and who have been punished for exercising it. More than 60,000 people have also been arrested for communications offences in the UK. The First Amendment protects US citizens’ right to free speech. As Sam told the New York Post, it is the “global gold standard”. Read more below 👇

Release of non-native animals is a criminal offence under S14(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Pheasants and red-legged partridges are not native here. Let's have our say shall we?
