A day in the life in the National Pathways Programme ☘️
138 girls across the 2011 and 2012 age groups took part in three-day residential camps held over eight weeks this summer at the FAI National Training Centre, Abbotstown, with specialist coaching, player education and individual feedback supporting their development.
The programme connects grassroots football, League of Ireland clubs and our international teams, giving players access to a high-quality development environment at different stages of their pathway.
A number of 2012 players have already progressed into the WU15 international environment, including the August window in Croatia, where Ireland faced Croatia, Ukraine and Slovakia 🇮🇪

A congratulations to Aoife Mannion and Anna Patten who are the recipients of the 2026 Sky WNT Fund ☘️
Established through our partnership with @SkyIreland, the annual €30,000 Fund supports WNT players in pursuing their academic, professional and career ambitions off the pitch.
Aoife and Anna will each receive €10,000 towards their master’s degrees in Women’s Football Club Management, with two grassroots clubs also benefiting this year.
Aoife nominated Ballinrobe Town FC in Mayo, where her younger cousins play, while Anna selected Glenea United FC in Falcarragh, Donegal, where she spent many summers with relatives growing up. Each club will receive €5,000 to support women’s and girls’ football in their local communities and help nurture the next generation of talent 👏
