One more sleep till canon day 🎙️
What to look forward to…
😒 Anne annoying the shit out of Tom
👂 Tom not listening to what Anne actually said
📚 We discuss not 1 but 2 new comics
🧠 Sharing collecting insights and creators we are currently exploring
What’s a character/franchise/IP that you keep coming back to, and why?
I think why I love the Zelda franchise so much is mainly for 2 reasons.
1 - most importantly it has brought me and my kids (especially my son) so much closer. They love to sit and watch me play. When I’m battling a boss they are jumping around the room nervously and when we defeat a boss we collectively cheer together.
2 - Link is basically an old friend at this point. We’ve grown up together through the games. Sure we at one point grew apart, many years of not seeing each other, but we reconnected a few years ago and the bond has been stronger than ever.

The universe works in mysterious ways.
We still can’t believe this moment actually happened during New York Comic Con!
One moment we joke with Kate how it will be “real easy to get Bill Sienkiewicz to sign our annual jump” and the next moment he unexpectedly shows up at the VeeFriends Booth…right next to us! 🤯

What started out as getting a few @veefriends annual jumps signed by some of the artist who have contributed to it, turned into trying to get every artist in the book to sign the cover.
During New York Comic Con we got 13 artists + Universe Creator @garyvee to sign the jump
The two signatures we didn’t expect to get that day - @robertliefeld and @SienkiewiczArt 🤯

Boundaries are healthy!
You are not telling people what they can and cannot do, you are just limiting what you expose yourself to!
You are not being mean or hurtful, you are putting yourself first. You can’t control what other people say or do, but you can control how much access it has to your time, energy, and peace.
It’s called taking control of your life!
Setting boundaries is canon!

That new comic book feeling… when the story gets you so hooked, time just slows down.
Reading the new @veefriends Annual Jump at @NY_Comic_Con
And the winner of “First Comment on the latest YouTube episode” goes to @ELGR3CO - it pays off to be subscribed and have notice on
Congrats Alex, and thank you for always supporting the pod 🙏❤️
Artist Alley is always a blast chatting with people who just make you feel good because they are good people
So many more who we forget to take pictures with! Make sure if you go to a comic con to go to artist alley
