Another win for nature! Thanks to unfailing efforts of local nature guardians @rescuehoadswood, Environment Secretary has directed Environment Agency to undertake clean up of Hoadโs Wood, so rubbish *will* be removed & site restored to ancient woodland.

๐จWe have exciting news to share! @SteveBarclay has issued a ministerial directive to @EnvAgency to clear up Hoad's Wood.
See below from our good friends at @KentWildlife

Heโs had to overcome racism, blame, lies, death threats and a host of insults hurled at him.
But today has proved the majority of London still have faith in him to lead and represent our great city, and rightly so!

War crimes by both Hamas and Israel must be condemned for what they are: disgusting outrages against humanity.
But refusals to contextualise either fit into a LONG history of justifying racist, supremacist colonial subjugation.
Let's look at some examples, particularly Ireland.

A lone wolf in a Swiss woodland, filmed by a friend of a friend. Our fear of wolves is completely absurd. Wolves play a vital role in our ecosystems and we should welcome them back with open arms across Europe and in Britain.

Take that in. Then try wrapping your head around the fact that weโre only seeing the beginning of a destabilising planet, while remembering that GHG emissions are still rising and the companies largely causing this are making record profits.
A bit concerning, donโt you think?

Just some of the many reasons to let #Ragwort grow in your #garden. #WildlifeGarden๐๐๐ฆ๐ โ at Rochford, East
The ladybird has invited some friends to the ragwort this week! Would never have left this plant grow if I hadnโt seen it on @_JoelAshton Twitter feed, weโve now got a dozen in full flow in the lawn. What a plant! #biodiversity #BigButterflyCount

"It could scarcely be more screwed up.
The effort to protect Earth systems and the human systems that depend on them is led by people working at the margins with tiny resources, while the richest + most powerful use every means at their disposal to stop them."
A *crucial* read.
Unless we focus on the existential issues we face, we are completely kippered. But the plutocratic grip on media and politics ensures we focus on anything but.

We were delighted to release a family of 4 beavers @WallingtonNt yesterday.
Congratulations to @nationaltrust, @fivesisterszoo & everyone involved.
Wallington is an ideal site, where the beavers can demonstrate their ability to restore nature & provide landscape-scale benefits.

It would appear that lobbying from British Egg Industry Council and British Poultry Council has contributed to the regulatory approach to river health being watered down. The quicker we abolish the intensive chicken industry the better. theguardian.com/environment/โฆ

The least productive one fifth of our land produces a minuscule proportion of all the food we produce. The idea that we canโt prioritise nature recovery by farming much more gently in our national parks, on grounds of โfood securityโ, is patently nonsense. telegraph.co.uk/business/202โฆ

Could just one media figure who is against Just Stop Oil tell me what the hell we are meant to do when scientists say we may be approaching catastrophic global tipping points? Write to our MP? Anyone at all?
The state of our media. @NickFerrariLBC has played down climate change for decades. @soniasodha being โsympathetic to the causeโ is not going to save our kids! Nothing else has worked!! If the media had told the public the full truth we wouldnโt need Just Stop Oil. @hollywills
