I went to some resale shops yesterday and had some really good luck with Pepe stuff. Got Pepe and Penelope wedding salt and pepper shakers, cake topper and what I'm 90% sure is a bootleg Pepe shirt

A big problem with "realistic" Looney Tunes is that the more life like they become, the less funny and more disturbing the slapstick becomes. When they're cartoony you can brush it off but turn them into more real looking animals and suddenly it's uncomfortable.

🧵🩵 But now Penelope is mostly reduced to cameos and that's it. It's sad that the most they've done with her was her cameo in Bugs Bunny Builders which was to see but it so clearly shows that the franchise can utilized her and use her in modern adaptations but just don't bother.

Wabbit- Pepe finally gets something good but Penelope is cut out and they give him a different love interest (she was possibly teased in one episode but never went anywhere) Space Jam 2- royally screwed over after being teased but ultimately cut (Pepe too, but his scene sucked)
