“Why don’t the parents take that kid to the doctor when suffering with Covid? That poor kid.” They do. You pull them out of school, sit in the waiting room, and the pediatrician looks at them and says “it’s viral.” Then you leave with nothing. For babies and infants it’s even better. Doctors won’t give them any medicine at all because it’s not safe. The visit is pure theater. The co pay is the only treatment.

A stunning defeat for a Trump-aligned right-wing leader in Europe. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, whose government cultivated close ties with Donald Trump and his family, has conceded defeat to a student-led opposition movement in a historic parliamentary election. Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. personally met with Vučić, while Jared Kushner pursued a major luxury real estate project with his government. Now, after nearly two years of massive student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Vučić's ruling party has been defeated at the ballot box. The student-backed movement is projected to win a parliamentary majority, ending more than a decade of dominance by Vučić's party.

A former CIA officer just casually confirmed what every privacy advocate has been screaming about. The CIA can turn your phone into a microphone. Your laptop camera into a surveillance device. Your smart TV into a listening post. Even when it looks powered off. John Kiriakou worked for the CIA for 15 years. Ran operations in Pakistan after 9/11. Then spent time in prison for whistleblowing on torture. Now he's confirming the obvious. The evidence is the Vault 7 leak. 2017. WikiLeaks published 8,000 classified CIA files. Detailed cyber warfare toolkit. Exposed a program called Weeping Angel. Joint CIA and MI5 project. Designed to hack Samsung smart TVs. Put them in fake-off mode. Still recording. Still listening. The leaked documents showed tools for hacking cars. Smart speakers. Connected devices. Anything with a microphone. Anything with a camera. Anything connected to the internet. Kiriakou just confirmed it on video. Asked directly: can they do this? His answer: absolutely. Vault 7 documents. Then he went viral on X. The tech companies said no. We don't grant direct access. But cybersecurity specialists said yeah. You're internet-connected. You're vulnerable. And Kiriakou just made it official. The CIA has had these tools since at least 2013. Probably still uses them. Probably expanded them. Your smart TV isn't smarter than the CIA's hacking toolkit. Your phone isn't more secure than a classified cyber warfare program. Your laptop camera isn't protected against tools that were designed to defeat protection. The former spy confirmed it. And nobody's surprised. Because we all knew it was true. He just made it officially true.
Former CIA officer John Kiriakou says the agency has tools capable of turning phones, laptop cameras and even smart TVs into surveillance devices.

El-Sayed: In my Neurology unit, I would have to give that MOCA exam, that cognitive test he's so proud of… The only people you give that test to are people who you worry may have cognitive deficits. By definition, if you’re taking one of those tests, something is wrong.  And you know the doctor who gave it to him was like, I just want to see how smart you are, sir. And he's like, me too. He brags about having taken it. He's like I remembered the rhinoceros. You're like Habibi, everybody remember the rhinoceros. And the funny thing about it is, you know, he's taken it multiple times. So he's not even bragging about the first time he took it. He's like, I took it the 1st time and then I took it the 2nd time. So with Donald Trump, you can't blame him for this, he's just dumb. But for Mike Rogers, can you imagine how small of a human being you have to be to know that he has real deficits and to just nod your head approvingly at the most ridiculous shit that the man proposes?

This is the reality of the latest Covid variants. Dental infection, mastitis, nail infection, mastitis again. And a… Respiratory infection. 👀 All in 2.5 weeks. They have had 9 days of high fevers with sweats, chills, severe headache, muscle spasms, full body shaking, joint pain, black spots in vision, extreme thirst, and a complete sense of unreality. This is how Long Covid starts. These current variants are still dangerous.

The most important thing today is that Starlink and Starshield operations have been restored to the speeds we had before the restrictions. The speeds are now where they need to be. The restoration began overnight, and by this morning, speeds were already sufficient. This matters: for our frontline logistics, for defending Ukraine against jet-powered “shaheds.” I thank all Americans and all our partners who took this seriously and truly helped – members of Congress, senators, all the media, the State Department, and the President. Protecting lives matters.

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Do you know what follows every covid infection wave? An ACL rupture wave. I'm not saying that all ACL ruptures are caused by covid infections... just that a wave of them follows covid every time. Including this time.

If you haven't been tracking COVlD closely the past 8 weeks, it's important to know that the CDC has made sizable retroactive upward corrections over and over. What once looked like a small wave or wavelet has nearly doubled in height.
PMC COVlD Update, Oct 17, 2026 (U.S.) Early Release COVlD levels have rebounded into a secondary peak, as the CDC continues to retroactively correct levels upward. Outbreaks span 44 states (see Alt). Levels are falling in TX, still high out west, & up in the Northeast. 🧵1/3

This is probably the single best Two minute clip I have seen in a long time. Anderson Cooper, who is gay, making fun of how gay Donald Trump is. And I will repeat. There’s nothing wrong with being gay. The problem is hypocrisy.

I've been thinking about the different levels of abusive denial this week. The level where they pretend it's just a cold, but it kills people in the acute stage daily. The level where they pretend that we should have let it rip, but Long Covid is killing people daily.

A fellow Long Covid friend, is gone. Forever missed. His last post was about 5 weeks ago, calling for paramedics and asking us to wish him luck Now he’s gone. I’m so sick of watching this disease destroy people while nothing real is being done. Year 7. People are still dying. People are still disappearing. And the world acts as if nothing is happening. RIP friend. You deserved better than this.
Absolutely heartbreaking to hear this morning that my mate Gavin @Gavtaraysin has gained his wings 🪽🥲 G was such a lovely person who always showed me support and kindness. I will miss my our chats, banter. May he now rest in eternal peace ❤️

Most organizations do not care if individuals get infected with SARS-CoV-2, nor how many times, nor the consequences. It's priced in. Wear an N95 and get boosted regularly to reduce your lifetime risk of cumulative infections.
Golden State has started exploring trade routes for Kristaps Porzingis, who is now seriously contemplating his future in basketball as he deals with recurring symptoms from the autoimmune condition termed as POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), sources tell ESPN.

Trump: I have the highest Christian vote in history. I know more than anyone. I am going to lead Christians into the greatest time of Christianity than no one else can do. I am shocked that after watching this so many Christians still support this man. This is the closest we have ever got to the anti-Christ.

Most people still do not get that Covid is airborne, and I watched a nurse figure it out mid wipe this morning. I am at my weekly GLP 1 shot appointment before work. It’s 8am, and I am still trying to be awake and so is everyone behind the front desk. The nurse comes to get me and she is already flustered. Shoulders up to her ears, sighing loud enough for the whole waiting room to hear, holding that big canister of Lysol wipes like a weapon. I walk into the exam room and there is this little machine on the counter glowing bright pink, puffing out this thick foggy mist that smells like fake strawberries. Like a tiny rave humidifier. As if scented fog is going to make the whole room germ free. I have no idea what that thing is supposed to do, but it is clearly part of the plan. It was like Bath and Body Works got put in charge of infection control and decided strawberry scent was the answer. She does not even say good morning. She just starts wiping. Hard circles on the exam chair and arm rests. Then the little side table. The door handle. And the back of the door handle. I ask her what happened. "I am SO tired of these people coming up in here sick!!! Why can't people just stay home when they sick?! Ugh and of course it was all that gunky nasty upper respiratory stuff. Coughing and sniffling up in my face!" And she keeps wiping, wiping, wiping, while that pink machine keeps puffing that strawberry fog behind her like it is doing something. It just came out. I said, "It is airborne though." She freezes. Hand mid air over the chair, wipe dripping. She looks at me. Looks at the wipe. Eyes locked still at the handle she just bleached. "Yeah," she says. "Yeah, it is." You could see it land. That split second where her face went from annoyed to OH S*IT. That look of wait, WHAT am I actually doing right now? That WOW, this sucks. Because that is the part most people never digested. They spent years thinking it lives on tables and chairs and doorknobs, so if they just wipe hard and spray enough pretty smelling fog they will be safe. But it does not live on the table. It does not disappear in that pink mist. It lives in the air they just shared in that tiny room with no open window or HEPAS. Until they get that Covid is airborne, and not a surface thing, or a washing hands thing, and not a bad smell you can cover up with strawberry fog, but is an invisible shared air thing, they are going to keep scrubbing surfaces while breathing each others uncleaned air.
