Clankers are about to flag this then call up the feds on your behalf.

I did this recently just to feel alive (read: out of credits), realized it’s way less enjoyable to type all this shit by hand then wait for my compiler to tell me I fucked it up just to do it all again.

Maybe we can get a nice Rotax with FADEC though.

Oh if we build it I will definitely fly it 😂

Oh, it can certainly write some shitty tests. The number of times I’ve deleted tests that assert on the contents of yaml files is too damn high even with guidance to not write such tests.

I could have saved way more time by not writing tests by hand, often harder to write well than the implementation. The meager gains here convince me of the opposite.

I’m pretty sure Lunduke hasn’t actually used it so he’s just repeating shit he heard one time, probably pre 1.0 lol.

Rust is a woke cult and bad for the world. C++ of course is the word of God and shall not be criticized. All this according to people who don’t use either, so you should trust them, don’t form your own opinions, opinions are woke.

Lunduke just bleats about shit he doesn’t like and certainly doesn’t understand. Dude is still hating on systemd for fucks sake 🤣
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Rust is a *really* bad idea for any software you need to have working a few years from now (AI generated or not), or want to continue developing into the future. Not because Rust is ugly (which… it is). And not because Rust is, overwhelmingly, a cult (again… it is). But simply because Rust is still a moving target. The language is not yet “complete”… and neither is the compiler. Changes occur often enough (and in significant enough ways) to throw serious monkey wrenches into any sizable project. Once Rust stabilizes (which could happen quickly if the Cult of Rust actually wanted it to), this problem will quickly go away. Until then I will be sticking with C. Or C++. Or, heck, any language that is more stable than Rust.

What I’ve seen is enough for me to use it 😂 - easy access to another computer on my desk or one in the cloud without thinking about ssh/annoying auth is enough to love it

Makes sense that your 10x engineered domain doesn’t even work lol

Are the admins concerns easy to summarize? It feels like they scared themselves a bit, and now things are a bit anti-competitive. Surely they, and you, want to have a strong free market where any competitor can follow the same framework for release?

I’ve found even having the same model with zero context to review can be helpful, like a human looking at the problem with fresh eyes.

Rabidly defending this administration is understandable given it affects your bottom line but it’s so tiresome. They fundamentally changed the structure of Japan’s government following WWII. The nuance you’re quibbling about is so dumb.

Also runs-on built a far more reliable self-hosted option than GitHub has and it’s one fucking guy. What the fuck??

This is bullshit, control plane costs are minimal evidenced by how easy and minimal it is to self host GitLab. Also, how easy it is to self host fucking GitHub and how little actions adds to overhead. The enterprise page doesn’t explain at all how my experience is improved!
