Last night I went to a concert solo, and randomly sat next to a guy that was also there solo (this is not a meet cute). We were chatting about where we’re from and what we do, and I found out he’s a train engineer. Coincidentally I am taking a train back down to Oregon. Extra coincidentally, he is driving that train. I’m on it now! He told all the conductors about the chance meeting, and told them my name, and they’ve come by to say hello. I’m an Amtrak Coast Starlight celebrity!
