Victory for Cuba at the UN. The overwhelming majority voted against the blockade. Washington was isolated once again. #CubaIsNotAThreat, the blockade is.

A Budget to tax extreme wealth and profits and make the UK affordable.
That is what a Green Chancellor would do.

It's time
If you refuse to be poor anymore
If you refuse to be complicit in genocide
If you want a liveable planet for yourself, your children & grandchildren

A continuity budget.
Was that it?
It all felt very familiar.
A Labour Government totally unwilling to take on power and wealth and give our country the investment we so desperately need.

Andy Burnham is asked about Rosebank and Jackdaw oil and gas fields.
He says "Use of our resources can support and accelerate a clean energy future"
We are truly down the rabbit hole with this utter nonsense.
Invest in renewables, insulate homes & say no to fossil fuels.

The Chancellor says this is a budget for working people.
He says it's about growth and fiscal discipline.
But aren't these the same fiscal rules that constantly change - and have constrained the investment this country so badly needs?

Chancellor pays tribute to Rachel Reeves.
Yet he's said this is a "continuity government" but refuses to make the big changes we so desperately need.
So what was this new Labour Government for other than a change in the people reading the "difficult choices?"

It's very clear that bank profits won't be subjected to Healey's 'difficult choices' today.

Just joined the Greens, after a lifetime of voting Labor.
Feels like a great relief to support a party that acknowledges the Genocide of Palestinians.
Jeremy Corbyn #Budget26:
"Don't mess with the triple lock on pensions, keep it.
Fund a universal National Care Service, by a wealth tax.
Properly fund local government...
Raise the minimum/living wage - and raise the state pension."

Poverty and inequality are not inevitable.
We need a budget for the people — one that taxes the rich, ends corporate greed and protects our natural world!

Wealth taxes, public ownership and social care for all!
What do Jeremy Corbyn, Sir Ed Davey, Robert Jenrick, John McDonnell and Alicia Kearns want to see in the budget?

One of the things we’re unlikely to see in the budget today is higher taxes on wealth.
This is despite huge popular support for a wealth tax.
Why won’t politicians listen?

Today’s budget looks like being worse for our future and the young than even anything Starmer came up with.
A budget based on approval of mass new oil drilling is a betrayal of our future.
EXCL: The giant Rosebank oilfield can be approved without breaching the UK’s emission targets, according to government insiders, in a boost to those in the cabinet who are pushing for it to be given the go-ahead.
Sources also say the Treasury has already accounted for billions of pounds’ worth of tax revenue from Rosebank and so would be faced with a shortfall should it be rejected.
