One thing I wish people understood better about this industry is that the transactional nature of companionship doesn't negate the depth and Beauty of the relationships that develop as a result of it. Throughout the many years I've been involved in this field, I have formed some incredibly meaningful friendships. I have had the privilege of playing a role in helping men overcome insecurities, mental health struggles, and a myriad of life uncertainties. I have met some wonderfully loving, funny, interesting, and caring individuals, and I feel extremely grateful for this. Teachers get paid, so do doctors and psychologists. Yet, they don't get accused of not caring about the people they work with in the same way we do as professional companions.
