About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now at taylor.lnk.to/TSTLOASTheEnco… ❤️🔥

Me every time I see a stadium: You know Taylor Swift sold that out multiple times

Franklin was the right coach for PSU in 2014. He isn’t in 2025 because he raised the bar.
Despite all the negativity the last few weeks, I’m grateful for that and believe every logical PSU fan is as well

It's official, @taylorswift13 has done it. Our first-week total for Showgirl is a smidge over, at just about 4.005m.

.@taylorswift13 Now Has the #1 Album Bow of All Time, Breaking Adele’s Record
Taylor's The Life of a Showgirl (Republic) has now surpassed the 3.5m total scored by Adele’s 25 in 2015, becoming the top album debut of all time well before the weekly chart closes—and as the counting continues, wonderers wonder how big this bow will be.
Bizzers are busily laying odds about whether Tay will get to 4m in week one, with most taking the over.
While the number-crunchers continue tabulating, we note that Tay’s latest campaign has included incredible pure-sales numbers from vinyl, CDs, cassettes and digital downloads (reportedly amounting to 2.7m on day one) as well as monster streams—Showgirl’s 12 tracks have occupied the tippy-top of @Spotify since they sashayed onto the scene, cumulatively accounting for 250m streams in the first 24 hours.
To further electrify the already frantic Swifty army, the megastar and marketing wizard offered, for one day only, a “Deluxe Dressing Room Rehearsal Edition” of Showgirl, featuring—get this—songwriting voice memos.

If you would’ve told us 10 years ago that we would happily sit through a sports podcast to listen to Taylor announce an album, we would’ve told you you’re insane
but go sports and go #TSTheLifeofaShowgirl
