For all my Pokemon Unite people looking for a new game to get into after Unite shuts down, I figured I'd put together a little guide for anyone interested in checking out Deadlock!
Here's a list of all the Deadlock characters sorted into the Unite roles I think they play most similarly to.
Obviously, Deadlock is a very different kind of game, and it's not nearly as simple as each character fitting neatly into one role. Deadlock doesn't have traditional locked roles, and there's a TON of overlap between characters depending on how they're played and built.
I sorted everyone based on what I think their overall playstyle and role in a team most closely resembles from a Unite player's perspective. These aren't necessarily 1:1 comparisons, but hopefully they'll give you a starting point when figuring out which characters you might enjoy
Hopefully this helps make that first step into a new game a little easier and if this does well enough I'm happy to explain items or objectives in Deadlock as well cause the game can be very overwhelming at first to new players
ps. i definitely didn't pay $8 to make this post shut up

This is a mind numbingly stupid idea and will literally kill small market teams
The "3-2-1 lottery" proposal, named to represent the number of lottery balls per team, would expand the lottery from 14 to 16 teams. Teams that do not qualify for the playoffs or play-in tournament but stay out of the relegation zone (spots four through 10) would receive three lottery balls each.
Teams with a bottom-three record -- the relegation zone -- would have just two lottery balls but have a floor of the 12th pick while the rest of the 13 lottery teams could fall as far as the 16th pick.
The 9th and 10th play-in seeds in each conference receive two lottery balls each while the losers of the 7-8 play-in games receive one lottery ball each.
In addition, no team would be able to win the top pick in consecutive years or be able to win three consecutive top-five picks. Teams also would not be able to protect picks in the 12 to 15 slots going forward.
imagine a game
where you have 4 moves to choose from
but you have to pick your moves
BEFORE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PLAYING AGAINST
The Unite devs have done a lot of truly stupid shit in over the years but this is by far the dumbest
