Spent a lot of time today thinking about how Graeme Souness went to Benfica and signed Brian Deane, Michael Thomas, Mark Pembridge, Dean Saunders, Gary Charles and Steve Harkness

A rather joyless final. The best team in the tournament won, but I'm sad that Argentina chose Bilardoball over anything meaningful. They were very poor and every sub made things worse. Some great players on this Spain team but they do feel like the ersatz version of 2010
The better team one. Considering their wobbles at the back, England defended really well but Norway made it easier for them. It's amazing that the team that made direct football cool in the 90s is now all about insipid sideways passing
