Important meeting in Williamsburg today arranged by Rabbi @MoishIndig.
Thank you @GovKathyHochul for coming to meet directly with our community leadership, Hatzalah, Shomrim & Chaveirim to discuss what matters to our families: affordable housing, yeshiva education & childcare vouchers.
Governor @KathyHochul is visiting Williamsburg for a meeting arranged by Rabbi @MoishIndig with community leaders and representatives of Hatzalah, Shomrim and Chaveirim, discussing affordable housing, yeshiva education and childcare vouchers ahead of Election Day.
The Williamsburg Jewish community is deeply grateful to the NYPD for their exceptional dedication throughout the High Holidays.
Under the leadership of Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Chief of Department Michael LiPetri, and Brooklyn North Chief Mark Vazquez, officers from the 90th, 79th, 94th, PSA 3, and 88th Precincts worked tirelessly to ensure our safety.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our community!

Tremendous news: the Mamdani administration is providing 10,000 more low-income families with childcare vouchers for free, reliable, full-time care. I deeply appreciate @NYCMayor and @GovKathyHochul’s unprecedented commitment to expanding affordable early childhood education.
Great example of teamwork delivering for families!
Thank you @GovKathyHochul, @NYCMayor @ZohranKMamdani & our Councilman @LincolnRestler for making this happen. 10,000+ families on the waitlist will now receive child care vouchers - a huge win for our community!
Huge shoutout to Councilman @LincolnRestler for making child care a top priority and never letting up until families on the waitlist got the help they needed. Lincoln is more than a councilman. He’s a relentless fighter, a true champion for families, children, and our communities

Chag Sukkot Sameach!
As one of the Council Members representing the Satmar community, it is always an honor to join my neighbor from Bed-Stuy in his sukkah.
Thank you @RabbiLandau for your hospitality and @MoishIndig for the invitation.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined community leaders, federal, state, and city elected officials, and law enforcement leaders at @RabbiLandau's sukkah to celebrate the festive holiday of Sukkos

Chag Sameach & welcome, Mayor @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani!
Thank you for celebrating the holiday with Jewish community leaders in Williamsburg and for your strong support for the Jewish community.
In a special moment, the Mayor took part in a Kinyan with a Gartel to grant permission for all public Sukkahs on city property in NYC to be owned properly according to Torah law.
Your friendship means the world to us!

I applaud @NYCMayor and Phylisa Wisdom for their leadership on a whole-of-government strategy to combat antisemitism.
Expanding Holocaust and Jewish history education and doubling funding for community-based hate prevention are critical steps toward making New York safer for all.
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism.
Together, we will ensure Jewish New Yorkers are safe and celebrated. We will invest in their protection, their history, and their future.
Our safety and our thriving are tied together.
"Anyone who sustains one soul has sustained an entire world."
Thank you @NYCMayor Mamdani for making history with NYC's first-ever Strategy to Combat Antisemitism. For generations Jewish New Yorkers have sustained this city - today you sustained us. From safety to shuls, schools & culture, you are ensuring Jewish life thrives. Our JCC proudly stands with you.

The Grand Rebbe at the Tzion of his uncle and predecessor, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum zt"l, in Kiryas Joel.
The founder who built the entire Satmar community from nothing after the Holocaust. Thousands at his Tzion today for his Yohrtzeit - 26 Av.
From the NYT Archives, August 1979: On the passing of the Satmar Rebbe zt"l - "You don't replace your parents; you can't grow a new head."
How Williamsburg and Kiryas Joel mourned a leader who built an entire world from ashes.
