The story making the rounds within WWE is that Vince Russo initiated contact with Nick Khan, seeking a potential role, but nothing really came of the overture. WWE sources also confirmed today that there was no movement toward officially hiring Russo at any point in 2026. One WWE source joked that Russo would soon be "milking this" for his podcast and also joked that perhaps Khan could circle back to sign Russo to a legends deal "alongside Necro Butcher." - PWInsider
