Today, I'm launching Vene: your AI advocate for healthcare. I used to spend a dozen hours a week managing care for my dad, a disabled veteran, and my mom, who has a severe autoimmune disease. Healthcare was a full-time job for my family. Our goal is to end the burden of care for every family: When you're sick, or caring for someone who is, the hard part is everything after the hospital: the referral that never arrives, the test result nobody calls about, the bill that makes no sense, and everything in between. For my dad, he spent hours on the phone to book an MRI. When he showed up, they told him to his face that insurance had stopped covering it. Then insurance told him to call a list of other offices and get the paperwork sent over himself, and he ended up giving up. That’s why we’ve trained Vene to handle the toughest aspects of healthcare: - Coordinating several specialists at once - Challenging surprise bills and treatment denials - Catching missed follow-ups and care gaps My mom uses Vene to coordinate her primary care and endocrinologist, automatically refill and renew her prescriptions, and manage my little sister’s dental appointments. They were my first users, and now over 5,000 families use Vene, and we're deploying it to another 50,000 patients across provider networks in the US.

shenzhen is crazy. came all the way here to meet sf ppl 🤣 bumped into this guy at a robotics event. he recognized my sz tweet, and now his sz tweet lands in my algo. and obviously there are multiple bay2bay / sf2sz wechat groups. you may leave sf, but apparently sf doesn’t leave you.
life update: quit my job and moved to shenzhen to hack on hardware. 1) i have no hardware experience. 2) i’m having a grand time.

interesting thing about instinct: x tech circle ppl think it’s dead (if it were, you probably wouldn’t keep talking about it), while my friends who are rarely on x use it every day like talking to a bf/gf (just not for dumb use cases like ordering food or booking flights).

@JFinnyc of @Rena_labs How can consumers monetize on their data without losing privacy in consumer AI? 🤖 run your agents using TEE! (Can I haz some astronaut agents? ) How do we link to private consumer infra? Create data liquify Nuwa: the goddess that create AI agents, but timing isn’t right Addys is the new agent that help you stay focused

example of how you spend company money: overheard in sf: meta tbd team meetings were sometimes held at fu hui hua (yes, the famous chinese omakase), where they’d book out the entire venue. so if you’ve ever wondered why it’s so hard to get a res…

every leaving-the-company note: “still bullish on the team” but how bullish can you really be if you’re taking yourself out of the bet?

advice from an sf founder: there’s no other place to build ai than sf. if you leave sf/bay, you’re not relevant. advice from a ny founder: you can build anywhere. the right opportunities will come if you know what you want.

if you’re a guy in sf who: is emotionally available doesn’t turn dates into your b2b saas users wants monogamy and is ready to commit can talk ai without making it your whole personality you’re rarer than a series b+ founder and if you’re not an engineer, boom, decacorn
if you are a girl in sf who is: good looking normal , not too autistic, not too crazy can talk about ai , but not 24/7 look for a long-term relationship, not just date around you are basically unicorn add “asian” and you are unstoppable

One of my first hard learnings as a founder in SV, coming from Wall St, was that contracts and people's word don't mean anything here At least on Wall St there's "honor among thieves". Here it's a high trust environment until it's more valuable for someone to be dishonest
