Pitt vs Rider Preview November 2, 7:00pm Pitt’s Projected Lineup PG: Nait George SG: Jalil Bethea SF: Jonathan Powell PF: Chase Foster C: Baye Ndongo 6th: A’Lahn Sumler G 7th: Armani Mighty C 8th: Macari Moore G 9th Dominique Diomande SG/SF 10th: Jermal Jones G 11th: Amir Souare C 12th: Colin Hawkins G *Rudovskii and Gilbert were both injured against Providence. I didn’t add them on the depth chart because I’m not sure if they will be in uniform or not. Rider’s Projected Lineup PG: Mark Butler SG: Bryce Baker SF: Khalil Farmer PF: Ty Bevins C: Rich Brisco 6th: Horace Simmons F 7th: Richie Rosa G 8th: Segun Ezekiel Obe C 9th: Nasir Washington G 10th: Kam Wylie F 11th: JJ Washington G 12th: Stephen Avegah Semey PF/C Obviously Pitt is coming into this game as heavy favorites. Rider finished last in the now Metro conference last year, but has completely revamped its roster. They are very small and will probably go 4 guards quite a bit. They will be lead by George Washington transfer Ty Bevins and Akron transfer Rich Brisco. Pitt will have a major advantage on the glass and in the paint. I think Ndongo, Mighty and Foster should get plenty of touches offensively. What I’ll Be Watching For • Who will be Pitt’s number 1 option on offense? The Panthers have talent but I’m not sure who will be Pitt’s go to guy in the half court offense. It would be a welcomed sight to see Bethea come strong out of the gates. • I’m curious to see Pitt’s rotation and depth. I’m sure if they get out to a big lead they will play a lot of the bench and several different lineups. One I’ll specifically be looking for is if Mighty and Ndongo are playing together. Game Prediction: With Capel on the hot seat, I expect he will try to win this game by as many as he can. I think Pitt wins by 25+ points.
