Leaving this here, PHP 8.5.12 security patch is incomplete. ( needs further validation )
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The PHP 8.5.12 release fixes the two specific CVEs (via state/bailout changes) detailed in official advisories; referenced "surviving paths" (e.g. var_destroy UAF) are separate pre-existing unserialize issues unrelated to this patch. php.net/archive/2026.p… github.com/php/php-src/se… github.com/php/php-src/se… github.com/dinosn/php-8.5…

Ik had ook iets nodig om daarna de boel aan te stampen.... Operation Pound Sand V1 was leuk bedacht maar kun je niet echt kracht mee zetten... V2 daarintegen does the trick 😂 Waarom gereedschap kopen als je t zelf kunt maken 🫡

‼️ BREAKING: Two leaked remote code execution flaws in PHP are real, watchTowr confirms. PHP will ship fixes for two critical flaws, both rated CVSS 9.2, on Wednesday 21 October at 14:00 UTC, a day before the embargo was due to lift. CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 first surfaced in a Hacker News post whose author admitted having no evidence beyond "source: trust me, bro". Kevin Beaumont flagged the leak, and watchTowr confirmed it two hours later. PHP says it may release sooner if details go public or exploitation appears. It has not named the CVEs or the affected versions.

Fantasy computer security problems: "Maybe by sending packets and detecting the timing of the vibrations of the computer case, it is possible for an attacker to gain information about the private key." Real computer security problems: "The private key was 4. Not 4 digits. 4."
‼️ BREAKING: The private keys of 8 certificates from Indian certificate authority eMudhra were compromised, Mozilla says. Firefox blocked them within 3 hours. Each key should be a 116-digit number, but one was just 4. Anyone can guess them and forge HTTPS certs for any website.

POV when you ask a client to provide an SVG of their logo so you can do some proper webdesigning and they proceed to "convert" a 480p PHOTOGRAPH of their logo instead
Just when you thought you had seen everything 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ This PNG is cosplaying as an SVG
