🚨 WRITTEN WARNING. NO EXCUSES LEFT. The DOJ just sent letters to county election offices all over California. They get 48 hours to work with DOJ and DHS on lists of likely noncitizens who were mailed ballots. San Bernardino County alone got 1,133 names. Nobody is being purged here. DOJ is asking them to set those ballots aside until citizenship is checked. If you're a citizen, you get counted. If you're not, you were never supposed to vote in the first place. Bill Essayli put it plainly. Any election official who knowingly processes a noncitizen's ballot is opening themselves up to legal jeopardy. Good. Noncitizen voting is a federal crime, and helping it happen is a crime too. Alex Padilla is already crying about "interference." Verifying that the people voting in American elections are Americans is the bare minimum, and it shouldn't take a federal letter to get California to do it. Every county clerk in California is now on notice. Count legal votes only!
