City are just awful. This is the fourth straight season of uninspiring play. Somehow, they won the title in ‘24. But it’s looking dire now. It’s a club of misfits. The first time in 15 years we don’t a David Silva, Bernardo Silva, or Rodri…all tempo setters.
What a total disaster the midterms were for republicans. When Trump, which was very apparent, got desperate and promised 5k if republicans won, it became obvious how bad things looked.
These idiot goalkeepers all think they’re Beckenbauer, constantly playing their teammates in trouble. Other than Ederson, no keeper has made his team better with ball playing.
Perception is such a thing. Iraola has now lose to both City and Arsenal at Anfield, and he’s not getting the criticism that Slot got.
Wirtz and Savinho are two of the weakest ball strikers I’ve ever seen at the top level. And it’s not as if they’re even accurate.
City once had an attack of Aguero, GJ, Sane, and Sterling…all players that scored 10+ goals in the league. Nowadays, it’s only Haaland. Sadly, even without points deduction, City will only win a domestic cup.
After watching David Silva and KDB for so long, it’s so difficult to accept the current City team. The passing and creativity are nowhere to be found. And then add the terrible decision making and lack of execution by Gigi, Nunes, Ndiaye…
Did Real “rest” players? I mean, Barca fans claimed that’s why they lost to PSG. As constructed, Barca have no chance at winning the CL. Their CB pairing is not even top 20 in Europe. If Yamal is as poor as he’s been the last two games, then they’re cooked.
It’s likely over for Carrick. I think one of the most underestimated skill of running a sport team is knowing when to let go of someone that has peaked. That half of a season was Carrick’s peak as a manager.
City’s passing is the worst I’ve seen in years. Not only is the short and intermediate passing terrible, but none of the attackers can play decently weighted ball.
I stopped reading after the first sentence. The player who won two Champions League in three seasons is the problem 😆?
Vini’s ego is 90% the reason we have gone two seasons without a Major Trophy.
Everything we have experienced from Vini since Mbappé arrived is tied to that ill advised “i’ll do it 10x” tweet.
Everything he did since he lost that Ballon D’or was to prove he was indeed the best player in the world and to do that, he had to first prove he is better than his teammate Mbappé.
He did all of these without considering how it affected the team, but the only problem is he was “competing” against someone that even the legendary Messi couldn’t outshine.
Alonso came in and Mbappé was quickly established as the main man, and we know what Vini did to destroy that. As long as everything wasn’t going through him, he wasn’t going to allow it.
Mbappé is not perfect, but he’ll happily serve you and play with you if you are willing. He did it with Messi, Neymar, Icardi, Cavani, Giroud, Griezmann, and Benzema. As long as you don’t hold any animosity towards him, he’ll coexist with you beautifully.
Mbappé has no reason to be selifish since he can serve you, create for you, play with you and still outscore you. 😂
In the 2022 WC he served Giroud and still outscored him. In the 2026 World Cup, he led and he served, and he still outscored everyone.
I remember when Benzema was reinstated into the National team and Mbappé despite already being the main man, actually played for him, combined with him, even served him ( for lack of a better word).
It was already clear that Mbappé was Deschamps leader, but Kylian happily played a supporting role for the good of the team.
They ended up winning the Nations League together in 2021, and Mbappé still outscored Karim, winning the Golden Boot.
My point is, there is more than enough to suggest Mbappé is a team player and can do whatever is needed for his team to win, as long as Hierarchy and roles are established.
Mourinho on the other hand has learned from Xabi Alonso’s “mistakes” and he seems to have established what we need to win immediately.
it’s obvious his plan is to to build the team around players with a point to prove, players who haven’t “won us 2 UCLs”, players who want to play for each other and players who want each other to succeed.
Interesting times ahead.
Hope this helps 😘.
This is probably the last time we’ll see PSG even try in the CL. They’ll lose to a team like Villa, and their fans will claim they can compete against the best.
Man City, Barca, and PSG are the three teams I’ve enjoyed watching in the last 10 years. Somehow, Ferran Torres, an eyesore of a footballer, has managed to play for all of them.
Barca fans are trying to will this game against PSG into being some kind of decider as to which is the best team in Europe. I hate to break it to you, but the best team will be decided in the ko stage, not in a meaningless group phase game.
Apologizing when you aren’t wrong is demeaning. I would have rather quit the football team than be forced to apologize.
I think Doku is one player where his identity is truly being a man of God. That’s how he sees it. Hakimi fouled him and instead of going down for an easy pk call, he proceeded to continue on.
Mbappe will be the poster boy for addition by subtraction. I don’t think PSG could so play fluid with him. And off the ball, they wouldn’t be able to absorb pressure. Sadly for Real, I don’t think they’ll win a big trophy with him if Flick remains at Barca.
