I had the same sentiment last summer. My hope was Skenes forced a course correction by Pirates who change behavior to avoid scrutiny and accidentally become more financially successful accidentally behaving how they should have in the first place. If this were to happen and good baseball returns to Pittsburgh, Skenes should be on Mount Rushmore of Pirates. This appears to possibly be the course.
