Friday’s ruling from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals restricting medication abortion access is the biggest legal attack on our right to access abortion care since Dobbs. We are furious; we are fired up; and, on behalf of NCJW’s 250,000 advocates, we will fight for the reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy of all people with everything we have.

This attack on mifepristone is the latest attempt by Christian nationalists to use the courts to impose one set of narrow extremist religious beliefs onto all of us, stripping away our reproductive freedom and religious freedom. That is why as Jews, it is so important for us to fight back. We will not allow their theology to dictate anyone’s access to health care, including abortion.
