The fastest way to lose a locker room is by asking 40 kids to live by one standard while allowing your most talented player to live by another.
Forget about losses, outcomes, and what’s out of your control. Holding the standard is something, as coaches, we can control.
Players notice everything, especially what coaches are willing to overlook.
Proud of you @masonmastrino29!
Thanks @silas_gleason for the @GoBearcatsFB experience! Look forward to being back next year!

In becoming a Head Coach, it’s not required you hire your friends
Hire a staff that will challenge you, strengthen your weaknesses, & are loyal
Choose “fit” over “friend”, this may be your only shot

The “team” has made a college football playoff while the “PROGRAM” has not
If I'm a betting man... an opponent waited until today to cause an issue and turn it in...😂😂

The Participation trophy was one of the worst things we did to our children.
Recognition for merely showing up.
No skill, talent, or accomplishment necessary.
Your simply being there - mediocre as your performance may have been - was enough to earn you recognition.

WHAT IS MENTAL TOUGHNESS?
It’s being disappointed - and staying disciplined.
It's being criticized - and remaining coachable.
It's making a mistake - and demanding the ball again.
It's feeling pressure - and executing your responsibility anyway.
