Your house is warmer than a medieval palace and your fridge has more options than a Roman feast. By every measurable standard, you are living better than 99% of humans who have ever existed.

Hot airline take: 1st checked bag should be free Carry-On luggage should be $25 People bringing on carry-on luggage is what makes everything horrible when boarding and departing. It slows everything down. There is never enough space. It forces people to block everyone to try and board early in their zone to get luggage space. It makes departing way slower. A bunch of people are forced to check the bags anyway. Backpacks and purses free. But charge for carry on luggage. It would make life so much smoother. I know everyone will be against this, but you know I’m right.

Interesting thought experiment, does socialism strengthen or weaken a nation state? Is it compassionate to say everyone receives a base standard of living regardless of whether they contribute? Or does it masquerade as compassion but manifest as broader weakness?

Jimmy Kimmel’s ability to escape social wrath should be studied. 98% of The Man Show would have immediately and irrevocably cancelled him today. The diverging paths between @adamcarolla and @jimmykimmel is also interesting.

Remember in 2018 when 'Space Force' was broadly lampooned? Turns out those people are idiots.

Reality Denied Elon Musk’s interview with The Economist exposed a political absurdity: basic common sense now sounds radical because the elite progressive left has spent years treating reality as a nuisance rather than a guide. Secure borders, safe streets, fiscal restraint, and institutional competence are not fringe positions. They are the minimum requirements of a serious society. That is why the debate has become so warped. Too much of the progressive left now operates in a post-factual universe, where ideology is treated as evidence and evidence is treated as negotiable. In that environment, ordinary standards of order and accountability are recast as oppression, while failure is excused with slogans. The same argument would be celebrated as wisdom if Obama made it and denounced as extremism when Trump does. The result is a public discourse detached from consequences. If you point out that uncontrolled migration strains public services, that crime affects working families first, or that governments cannot borrow and spend forever, you are no longer making a practical argument. You are accused of hostility, ignorance, or worse. Musk’s real value in this conversation is not that he is universally right. Which he is. It is that he forces the confrontation between reality and rhetoric. And once that confrontation happens, the weakness of the left’s worldview becomes obvious: it can explain feelings, but it cannot reliably explain facts. The middle of the political spectrum has not become more extreme. The left has simply moved so far from reality that common sense now looks like rebellion.
Just common sense!

It has never been more fair than today. Are we close. Not nearly close enough. We have never lived longer than today. Are we better off? I’m not so sure. Has our society outproduced the future? Since the very start. 🇺🇸america250

Classical #liberalism meant defending individual liberty. It was about equal opportunity, not equal outcome. Removing institutional overreach and allowing diversity of thought to produce a better future for all. #Lincoln was a classic liberalist, despite being the first Republican president. He believed in free markets, the rights to one's labor, and equal opportunity. He didn't build a massive state to manage outcomes; he broke chains to unleash opportunity. #America250 🦅
