exact match gbp names still move the needle more than anything else on the profile. it'll get tightened eventually, it always does. until then there's real money sitting in a dba filing most contractors never make.

google ads is rent. seo is equity. the second you stop paying for ads, the phone stops. the pages you ranked keep working while you sleep, for free, for years. most contractors spend five years renting and never buy anything.

another google business profile verified. people act like this is hard. it's hard if you don't know what you're doing.

"man i never imagined i would have all this work" client asked to pause ads for november because he's too booked. adding a second crew next year to cover it all. this is the stuff that makes it worth it.

client just closed a $10,700 job and the guy found them on chatgpt. not google. chatgpt. and the thing most contractors don't realize is you can actually optimize for this. it's not luck. the businesses chatgpt names are the ones who did the work to get named.

what's actually moving the needle in local seo and ai search right now exact match gbp name filed as a dba primary category checked against the top 3 in your market review velocity, not review count one page per city instead of one page for the county listicle placements in your market reddit threads nobody in your trade is touching yelp and bbb filled out completely bonus: ctr manipulation and pbns if you actually know what you're doing. most people don't, and it costs them the profile. the list above is boring and it compounds. that's why it still works.

something i've noticed running marketing for event businesses if you run a music festival halloween event pumpkin patch holiday light show restaurant or club your tiktok and instagram seo matters more than your google seo nobody searches "things to do this weekend" on google and books. they see one video, tag three friends, and buy tickets from the comments.

your legal business name is a ranking factor and most contractors never think about it. google reads the words sitting in your gbp name and weighs them heavier than almost anything else on the profile. "Smith and sons" tells it nothing. "tampa kitchen remodeling" tells it exactly what you do and where. you can't just type that in though. file a dba with the state, update your paperwork, then set the profile name to match the filing exactly. do it that way and it holds. type a fake one in and you lose the listing.

30 days in and this client has $77k closed with another $88k sitting in the pipeline. a $56k job done, a $50k kitchen pending, three more at 22k, 9k, and 7k. his text ended with "whatever you guys do is insanely appreciated" nobody tells contractors this is possible in the first month. most agencies need six to show a chart.

the real money in christmas lights isn't the install. it's that the same customer books again every year for a decade. which means your cost per lead in october isn't a cost. it's a down payment on ten seasons. price your ad spend like that and you'll outbid everyone in your city.

if you install christmas lights and your ads aren't live yet, you're already behind. homeowners book this in october. they're deciding right now. by the time you turn ads on in november, the good routes in your area are already sold. 8 weeks of demand, and most installers spend 6 of them thinking about it.

$202,650 in 65 days. client texted me the number, then followed it with "i love you lol" that's the part they don't tell you about this business. you're not selling rankings. you're changing what someone's year looks like.

client just closed a $100k whole house remodel off one seo lead. kitchen, a bath, flooring, painting. all of it. that's one lead. not one month of leads. one. the guys chasing shared leads for $80 a pop have no idea what's sitting in their own city.

taking on 2 more home service businesses this month we get contractors ranked at the top of google and named by ai when someone asks who to hire dms are open why us — you work with me or parker directly, no account manager in between local seo and ai search is all we do we track jobs sold, not impressions. roi is the only metric that matters
