Good news just keeps on coming...
BBC Merges TV & Audio Commissioning Teams Amid Plan To Cut 100 Content Roles deadline.com/2026/10/bbc-mer…
Until this very minute I never really realised the title is perfect as its about cold cases. So these people were forgotten, now they are Un forgotten. Great no notes. Forget I even mentioned it...
We're kind of always skirting around the point with these discussions. if the script is crap and mostly they are, nothing matters. Having a basic title page doesn't make up for a bad script and having an image there doesn't either. If it's going to fail its going to fail.
This has only ever been about making money for Labour donors. Nothing at all to do with lowering bills because we have to sell it at a very low price for it to be processed and then buy it back again at market rate so how does that save the people anything?
It's always nice to get positive feedback about your script. Maybe I'm not totally shite at writing after all! Maybe...
It’s quite cool when you see the trailer for a movie that you were paid to consult on the script. Looking forward to watching it!
It shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that the people most likely to use AI for creativity are the least likely to think about anything ever. Using their brains was never an option for them.

Well said Zack.
She's really killing it.
No fines here! Ania Magliano calls Shane Gillis a “Stupid f*cking c*nt” on #SNLUK Weekend Update
This is very good
"The BBC has stressed that they're not transphobic, they just hate dolls as they're often used to demonstrate where they were touched by BBC talent."
— Says Ania Magliano on #SNLUK's Weekend Update, while discussing the BBC editing out a pro-trans "Protect the Dolls" T-shirt.
Reader: "Jack you are quite good at writing dialogue"
Me: " yeah that's because I'm AuDHD and I've rehearsed every conversation in my head that I've ever had in my entire life..."
I need a few more sets of eyes on this latest Pilot script so who would like to do a script swap with me?
I can't help it. I have tried to write just regular drama but I have to add some kind of supernatural aspect to the story, I just do. I have now accepted it and will be leaning even more in that direction. Thanks for understanding #screenwriting #screenwriter
So very interesting that people are going after her now. I wonder why that might be hmmmm. Real head scratcher innit.
The problem with Sally Rooney isn't just that her prose is banal and choppy but that she seems wholly uninterested in capturing the ineffable experience of being human.
Her characters drink, have sex, and occasionally talk to one another, but they rarely experience the ecstasies and pitfalls of human existence. They're basically robots: they mimic human activities without being moved by them in any meaningful way.

Smart move Cutting out the middle man & doing the SNL sketches themselves. Wow!
Settled down to start adding details to this new idea that's been distracting me the entire time I was drafting my last Pilot script. And now my brain has decided to come up with yet another completely new idea that I am really bloody excited about. Yes this is a humble brag.
