The @victorianlabor Govt have spent 80 Billion taxpayer dollars in PT builds since coming to power. So much is stolen. Another 80 billion to be spent if they get reelected. Despite this crazy spend and huge population growth, suburban trains carry 25 percent less people than 2019. The old world of tens of thousands of CBD office workers travelling in Monday to Friday is dead. Work from home, AI, and a Labor led destruction of the private economy has seen to that. Victorian taxpayers hand the operators 5 billion each year to make up for the ongoing shortfall. All this money is borrowed. Interest only repayments will be 2 million per hour very soon. It’s insanity and is bankrupting future generations of Victorians.
