Research paper #2 from our group just dropped as Open Access in Adv Materials. In this paper, we probe pendant length in frontal polymerization and the resulting material properties. @KA_Stew absolutely crushed this one, check it out! @JacobJLessard1

Happy to share the first published work from my PhD!
When I started 3D printing thermosets in my first year, I was immediately frustrated with the process. Resins took ages to prepare AND didn't last long.
@JacobJLessard1 and I cooked up this technique to solve the first problem - we didn't expect it to solve both!

What happens when you "pull" on bullvalene? Find out in our next bullvalene story, now out in @J_A_C_S (pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…). We look at the thermomechanical consequences of fluxional shapeshifters in thermosets. Persistence and collaboration were key!
I am delighted to see our absolutely FUN polymer network out in @J_A_C_S from @golder_team! I learned so much from our wonderful collaborators at @TAMUChemistry, @UChicago and @UWChemE, thank y’all for this collaborative work. My first paper ever ✅🤩🎉

For those of you who like polymer mechanochemistry, this is a MUST read by @YunyanSun. Was such an amazing project to see developed from start to finish. Congrats to the entire team for this foundational piece of work!
My favorite and most proud work from my PhD is now online cell.com/chem/fulltext/S2451… . Inspired by the classic Morse potential, we developed an intuitive physical organic model for C-C bond under force with experimental validations.
