If Netflix decides to renew Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for Season 3, they need to consider to expand beyond the structure of 10 short episodes. The story of Season 2 could have been so much better if it had more time to develop its characters. Still enjoyable season but story felt rushed.

Comparing Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 to the first one is like asking which of China Mieville's steakpunk Bas-Lag novels is better: Perdido Street Station or The Scar?
Both seasons are great in their own way. 2 standalone stories worth watching. Also like the mention of David from Season 2 in Season 1 - shows they existed in the same megacity.
D. from Season 2 is an idiot though. One of the most unlikeable protagonists or anti-heroes in anime history.

I finished watching “1899” through to the final episode. I had a sense about that ending. Started it as a study of LED “volume,” but it’s very well made. The music is excellent. I also watched the making-of. A 360-degree rotating stage, and a base set built in modular, pizza-like sections, fascinating. There’s clearly some ingenuity needed to keep the backgrounds from looking too “Unreal”like. Bringing together a global cast during the pandemic, dealing with quarantine, abandoning location shoots and turning to the “volume”—that resonates deeply. On DS2 as well, gathering a worldwide cast in Los Angeles during COVID was a challenge. There were several instances where cast members tested positive shortly after arriving in the U.S.
So still, no Season 2? What are Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the creators of “DARK,” working on next?

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Episode 8 proved me wrong about what I said about Ep. 7. Night City feels more vibrant this time, and rainy atmosphere reminds me of Blade Runner. D. became the "Eren Yeager" of Edgerunners but also reminds me of Sasuke cuz of his look. Loving this season
just finished watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Episode 7, and I think the concept of cyberpsychosis and the digital "soul" constructs are interesting, but a lot of the scenes feel empty, devoid of the vibrant futuristic environment I thought Night City is known for.
Still on Episode 6 but I think Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is actually enjoyable in a different kind of way. It feels more "cyberpunk" than the first season.
