Vivek Ramaswamy just told reporters, "It is an ad from our campaign, and the thing that I want to say is that I would love for this race and this election to be about the substantive issues that impact Ohioans, and unfortunately, Amy Acton has been hiding from those issues. She won't debate me." He later said Acton's mother was not compensated. (h/t WSYX ABC 6 on the ground)

I received the poll testing the ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother calling her daughter a "liar." Comes from the polling firm Dynata. Before showing the ad, the poll asks whether it's true Acton was sexually abused and lived in a tent as a child. Then the ad plays twice.

Sharing some news here on the professional front for me.  After more than 15 years at Meta, I’ve decided the time is right for me to move on from my role as Chief Global Affairs Officer.  It’s been an extraordinary journey and opportunity, and I’m very proud of the team we built and work we did.  I will always be grateful to @finkd and @sherylsandberg for bringing me in all those years ago and supporting me and my work all along the way.  It has been a true privilege to work with Mark – one of the great founders, builders, and strategic CEOs in history – as well as his leadership team, and the incredible Global Affairs team we’ve assembled over the years. I’ll be at the company for a few months to help with the transition, and then look forward to catching my breath, making up for lost time with my beautiful wife, catching all of my daughter’s high school tennis matches, and surprising my son with frequent unannounced visits at college.  Somewhere in there will also find some time to figure out what I want to do next–will let you know when I do! axios.com/2026/10/20/joel-ka…

This mom lost custody of Amy Acton after her new husband was investigated for molesting Acton when she was in middle school. Mom left town with step father, Acton has said, to avoid charges. Backstory here: vindyarchives.com/news/2019/…
BOMBSHELL: Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter. “My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America. I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem. She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life. My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that. Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.” That’s one hell of an October surprise.

Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth traveled to Israel in an unannounced trip, two sources familiar & a US official tell me & @talshalev1. Hegseth met Monday evening with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, per sources.  Representatives from the UAE were at one of the meetings, per Israeli source. The Pentagon declined to comment when asked about Hegseth's travel to Israel.  Hegseth’s unannounced visit to Israeli comes days before the country holds its elections. Trump recently gave his endorsement to Netanyahu calling him a  “Great Warrior Prime Minister” in a post on social media. Confirms @BarakRavid
