Having checked, I can confirm that THE BERLIN WALL WAS STILL STANDING when Jennie Bond first started wittering on about the monarchy for the BBC.

"take that "apartheid""
Stupid comment. The apartheid is in the West Bank/Gaza, not Israel proper. You will only be able to accurately claim there is no apartheid when either a) all Palestinians have the same rights as Israeli Arabs, or b) Israel retreats to its legal borders.
Jennie Bond? They're still wheeling out JENNIE BOND to witter on about the monarchy? I think I was still at school when she first became the BBC royal correspondent.
"This is the first Israeli election since the Hamas attacks of 2023" the BBC tell us, missing out the small matter of an Israeli-perpetrated genocide in the interim. That's like billing the 1949 German federal election as "the first since the Reichstag fire".

Fortescue to Chowns on Greens4Palestine: "This group obviously has a big influence over your partys direction... do you think they should be kicked out of the party?"
Can you imagine a journalist asking, should Labour Friends of Israel be kicked out of Labour? Of course you cant

#BBCBreakfast's report on the Israeli election mentions Netanyahu 5 times
But you know what isn't mentioned? The fact that he's wanted for using starvation as a method of war, intentionally directing attacks against civilians, & extermination/murder as a crime against humanity

Congratulations to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his reelection victory in Brazil.
Despite Big Tech oligarchs and Trump tilting the playing field against him, Lula prevailed.
He will continue to fight for Brazilian workers and democracy over the next four years.

Lula’s victory will be greeted with horror in Silicon Valley. Outside the EU, Brazil has been the biggest holders to account of US tech firms. And Facebook’s actions before the election deserve proper scrutiny
My Uncle Jim invented and patented "Neverlick", a box which moistened envelopes so you didn't have to lick them. It was a brilliant invention, but alas, almost exactly coincided with the arrival of self-sealing envelopes and he therefore didn't make his millions.
I @realDonaldTrump can confirm that none of my uncles invented radar nor cheated at golf nor ..... !

I doubt if Restore's membership claims have been independently checked, or that they would stand up to much scrutiny if they were. The alternative interpretation is that Restore has more members than voters, which wouldn't be any better for it.

Congratulations to Lula on his extraordinary reelection victory in the Brazilian presidential election.
Lula has stood up for Brazilian workers & democracy — and will continue to do so in the next four years.
So basically you're now a stenographer for the far-right, Andrew?

Important evidence of rape and other sexual violence by Israelis against Palestinian civilians collected by Professor @maynard_nick and his colleagues, detailed, evidence-heavy peer reviewed paper published @bmj_latest
Please read and share this article from *The BMJ* on *"Sexual violence against Palestinians". It’s difficult reading, but must be shared. Five doctors and legal scholars examine the evidence and call for independent investigations and accountability.

I’m working on an article to explain why I believe the UK and Irish governments are telling households to stockpile water and food that doesn’t require electricity.
TL;DR: I believe governments are preparing to prioritise AI data centres over their own citizens.
The electricity consumption figures and government policies point to a serious problem. Both countries are preparing households for prolonged power outages while giving energy hungry AI data centres preferential treatment.
Are these warnings really about extreme weather, or do governments already know their electricity grids won’t be able to cope with the expansion of AI data centres?
“Be ready by having some everyday essentials… three litres of water per person per day, tinned goods... to last a few days”
Speaking to @vicderbyshire, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting details advice to households to be prepared for a “dangerous and turbulent world”.

Nobody hacked Dan Hodges' account when he said Palestinian children should go to hell.
He is just a disgusting racist who thinks little kids should go to hell if they're Palestinian.
Toddlers.
Babies.
Wailing newborns.
There are no words to describe this evil.
