Arriving at the Playoff Final to hear ‘the Sam Bartram Jimmy Seed song’ (as my kids call it) being sung out, was a bit special! (Anyone else missing football?😂) #cafc
That was really poor today.
Our fundamental problem is that our midfield isn’t good enough. Watford are struggling, even though they have one or two players that are head and shoulders above our’s. We badly need a player like Iker Bravo. #cafc
Today is the 70th anniversary of Jimmy Seed’s sacking by Charlton Athletic.
He returned home in the evening to find a press pack awaiting him outside his house at 33 New St Hill, Bromley.
It was the end of an era.

We have a very likeable team. The Hammers less so, with all due respect.
Jimmy Seed was very careful to sign the right sort of characters, and that philosophy served him and the club very well over the years. Nathan seems to be of a similar mindset.

Charlton won the FA Cup 42 years after its founding.
Palace had to wait 120 years for theirs. Poor show.

'It feels amazing to be on the pitch and help the team to get a very big point for us.' 💭
Hear from Collins Sichenje following an impressive debut 💪

That was dire yesterday, but one thing we have going for us is our unpredictability. Who knows which Charlton we’ll see on Saturday. Fingers crossed it’ll be the one that beat Stoke.

“He is fearsome, in terms of how he trains and goes about it and the lads are aware of that - he’s left a calling card already on a few of them.”
Loving the sound of Collins Sichenje. We need a bit of steel!#cafc #CollinsSichenje
Really happy with the three points today, of course. Also quite pleased with the window. Clarke, Coady, Dykes, Chambers and Fevrier all look useful.
And Godden looked really sharp. He should be a real boost to our survival chances.
