James Warrener

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗘𝟳 Yaxley FC are pleased to confirm the signing of centre-forward James Stainsby from St Neots Town. Stainsby's name was on the list from the start. When First Team Manager Wilkins Makate, Director of Football Scott Bogusz and Club Chair Raphael Frascogna sat down in pre-season to discuss recruitment targets, he was a player all three were keen on. They are delighted to have finally brought him home to PE7, where he lives and works. A big, physical striker who leads the line, Stainsby - "Staino" to his teammates - arrives having made 16 appearances for the Saints so far this season, scoring three goals. One of those came against tonight's opponents, FC Peterborough, in St Neots' 4-0 win in August. A product of the St Neots youth set-up, where he was a prolific scorer for the Under-18s, Stainsby began last season at Deeping Rangers, scoring three goals in eight appearances, before returning to St Neots early in their Northern Premier League Division One Midlands campaign. He went on to make 22 appearances for the Saints at Step 4, marking his first start with a goal against Mickleover. Speaking after signing, Stainsby said: "I'm really happy to be here. It's time to get my head down and score some goals to try and help Yaxley get towards where they want to be." Stainsby goes straight into the squad for this evening's fixture against FC Peterborough. Come along and give him a proper Cuckoos welcome. Welcome to Yaxley, Staino. @utdcos @PTAlanSwann @squeezefootball

We are trialling a new online matchday programme format this evening and would love to hear your thoughts. You can bookmark programme.yaxleyfc.co.uk, the new permanent home of our matchday programme. This link is also available by clicking the Linktree in our social media bios🔗🌳 As traditionalists, we absolutely love the printed version, but deadlines and costs mean it's prohibitive for us to do so for every match. For the FA Cup, FA Vase, later rounds of the regional/local cups, and any other notable games, we'll still try to have printed versions where possible. Please let one of the matchday volunteers know if you like it or if there is anything missing that you'd like to see. We rely on receiving up-to-date information from our opponents, so the accuracy of that information is on them 😉 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆! #ittakesavillage | #cuckoos | #yaxley @HinchCup @DeepingRangers @HuntsFA @utdcos @PTAlanSwann
