Don’t be fooled by the boring diplomatic language in the leaked UK-EU draft statement. Under Point 65, Brussels is attempting a massive regulatory hijack of the UK’s highest-growth sectors—specifically AI, quantum computing, and advanced semiconductors.

I think studying cybernetics should be your gateway to more rigorous endeavors, but you can't do without what you'll pick up in the process. It is critical history to help you make sense of everything we are subjected to today (Big Data intelligence, "AI", accelerationism, etc).

An underrated insight from cybernetics is that you can build something precise out of imprecise parts. Individual components can be inaccurate if you have a negative feedback loop, because the output depends mostly on how accurately you measure it, not the quality of the parts.

BREAKING: The DoW is deploying robotic factories housed in shipping containers, enabling drone airframes to be manufactured without traditional factory infrastructure.
Machina Bellator, the defense arm of @MachinaLabs_, will deploy two expeditionary robotic factories to enable localized production of airframes for LUCAS-class drones. Traditional airframe replacement parts can take up to 56 weeks to obtain, while these robotic factories aim to produce them in just days.
As part of a $9M, 18-month pilot program, the company will begin developing and qualifying the airframes in Los Angeles before deploying the robotic factories.
The robotic factories have capabilities including roboforming, roboscanning, robotrimming, drilling, and robotic heat treatment, enabling complete part production within a single robotic cell.

SOFTBANK PLUNGES 59% AS DEBT-FUELED AI BETS UNRAVEL
SoftBank shares fell another 10.8% Friday, extending losses to 59% since early June.
The company added $40.4 billion in debt over 12 months to fund AI investments, including $64 billion in OpenAI.
Meanwhile, Arm shares have plunged 51% since June 30, weakening SoftBank's asset backing as credit-default swaps rise and bond prices fall.
SoftBank's reported leverage was 13%, below its self-imposed 25% limit, suggesting a substantial remaining cushion.
Happy to share that I’m exhibiting The Idea of Saving Aesthetics at the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA 2026), November 6–15, at ARTE Museum Dubai, UAE.
Inviting all my Dubai-based frens and their friends to come experience the work! 💚
See you there!

Why does a nightingale's song appear as jagged dark bands when turned into a picture?
Spectrograms plot frequency against time: height is pitch, width is time, darkness is strength. Each thrush and the rooster create unique patterns as their syrinx shapes the sound.
The same math powers speech recognition, ultrasound, and AI species identification from recordings. Invisible sound becomes a readable map through Fourier analysis.
