Amazon Influencer Program content is coming to @thebuyboxio this week, hosted by @JamieHuff TBB quietly outgrew its Amazon roots a while ago. FBA, WFS, eBay, and now the earn-without-selling side too. Whatever shape selling things to make money online takes next.

We launched it, completely. Its live and this is the post before the official videos and onboarding. @FlipAlert now includes the entire suite of reporting, everything you're used to seeing but made with feedback from hundreds of sellers to ensure it all makes sense and exactly as your business needs it. Inventory analytics, cashflow reporting, profit and loss, order reports, full reimbursement chains, FBA and FBM shipment updates, fee changes, valuations, and more. Took us 9 months to get it right with full forecasting for cashflow and handling the edge cases along the way. But we won't sit on our hands the rest of the summer either, three more large upgrades will be here before the end of August. So in our normal fashion its yours to use starting today and every day for the next month entirely free, plus of course the sourcing side, all of it. USA only for right now. whop.com/checkout/plan_7zHxj…

Yea it was a real bummer that after 14 years we lose our no reserve. Amazon does not care about you is the lesson. We planned for it so it’s been a non issue, still makes me mad though. Just feels like a slap in the face after a year full of abuse from the platform.

Just gave a talk to 2,000 people today. 10 raised their hands; they've used agentic AI. 20% (maybe) knew what Claude was. You are earlier than you think you are... still.

This reminds me of when you could get a 30 min uber in nyc for like $10/$15, and now it costs $50 to get 5 blocks. We’re going to look book at this time and wish the vc’s would subsidize our compute again.
Cursor internal analysis shows how hard Anthropic is subsidizing Claude Code. Last year, a $200 monthly subscription could use $2,000 in compute. Now, the same $200 monthly plan can consume $5,000 in compute (2.5x increase).

automation shines for repetitive high volume stuff. but most personal tasks are either one offs or actually better done manually because the setup time kills the ROI.

🚨Today is the first day of Amazon's new fee structure Here is what Sellers need to know: The 5 Big Shifts: 1. FBA Fees: Up on average ~3%. 2. Prep Services: AXED. (No more Amazon labeling/bagging, etc). 3. Cash Flow: Payouts delayed ~2 weeks (The new DD+7 Reserve). 4. Defect Fees: The silent killer. Miscounts & bad labels now carry massive penalties. 5. Inbound Placement: "Minimal Splits" just got too expensive to use. Adapt or pay up. Sellify has already pushed the update to all of our calculations to ensure your numbers reflect the new reality immediately. Here is an article explaining everything in depth: sellify.app/documentation/20…

🔥 The A2A Challenge is coming back 🔥 Last year I did 15 hours of live trainings on exactly how I have sourced and built a business around amazon to amazon flips over the last 9 years. Strategy, sourcing, the 5 pillars, all live every day. Didn’t get offline until every question was answered. Well due to popular request we are bringing it back. Join myself and @cleartheshelf this coming Monday October 20th for four days of all A2A. New topics, guests, and a whole lot of flipping. I share the exact products I’m buying. The process I find them and what most sellers miss.
The A2A challenge started with the goal of 6-8 hours of live sessions for the week. We go into the final day at 11.5 hours of live video so far ❤️ The response and feedback have continued to exceed my expectations. Let’s finish strong.

Received account health violation this morning for Amazon. Counterfeit without a test buy. Still think it’s incredible Amazon has a process for accepting Amazon Order IDs built in to the appeal process. Another +1 for A2A

You all ready for today? Some things if this is your first prime day as an A2A buyer, or some reminders if you’ve done this before. 1. Don’t FOMO. We will see 10x the movement on ASINs, don’t feel the need to buy in because the deal is moving quickly. Trust what has lead you here, the numbers. You will have more opportunity to buy. 2. Don’t cut corners. You will see some prime exclusive deals that are great ROI. The choice is yours but your seller account is worth more than a few bucks to me. Stick within the TOS. 3. Google everything. Amazon won’t be the only one running deals. Sure you know WM and Target will but so will hundreds of other sites. Track down some price matches and you’ll our buy the other A2A sourcers. 4. Track. Miss a deal? Add it to your monitor. Items will restock. 5. Embrace the lulls. It won’t be fire all day, in between deals keep up on your buy sheet, explore previous leads, or source similar retailers. 6. You are your only competition. It doesn’t matter who else spent $20,000 in 10 minutes. It’s your job to focus on your business, don’t play the comparison game. 7. Watch out for amazons tricks. They will make deals look better than they are. Look at Keepa for the whole year+ to understand the real value. 8. Some items will skyrocket in sellers. If you have some cash and room you can cleanup by holding inventory an extra couple months. Let’s have fun and make some profit. Not sure how to handle a situation or have a question? Drop it here.

Something to add. Your brain is really really good at avoiding problems. So much so that it’ll actively convince you to not even ask questions or just plain trick you. Here’s two really popular lies Amazon sellers tell themselves: 1. If you lose $100 due to a shipment issues, label overcharge, lost inventory, etc. Then when you sell something for $100 it evens out. Now reading this you know that’s not true. But in the moment your brain to avoid the problem will just lie to you. To make back your $100 loss if you’re running a 15% margin business you need to sell an extra $650+ Lose a random $10 a day? That’ll cost you $2,000 in revenue to make that back. Think about that. Doing $20,000 in sales a month? That $10 a day in losses eats over 10% of your monthly revenue like it never existed. 2. This lie gets shared online a lot. It’s not their fault, it’s the brains. The lie is: Don’t focus on saving money just focus on making more. But this loops back to my original tweet. You can sell $200,000 a month and be breaking even without realizing because for every dollar you’re making it’s slipping through the crack somewhere else. If you figure out how to save $500 a month it’s the equivalent of an extra $3,300+ in revenue. Spend a day this week and run through all the places you could be leaking. Make a list. Then tackle each one. I’ve had some really great questions come through my DMs from those that understand the power that small losses have on your bottom line. Happy to answer any you have too.
I firmly believe most resellers especially on Amazon don’t have a profit problem, they have a leakage problem. You can source all day at 50% ROI and run negative / never take profit because the money you’re making per sale isn’t enough to cover everywhere else you’re losing money. It happens to me too, used to much worse than now. 1. Items you buy that never arrived. 2. Items you buy that come damaged but you never return or request reimbursement. 3. Items lost during shipments outbound you don’t file claims on. 4. Items amazon loses you don’t notice. 5. Items arriving as a return damaged / swapped that you don’t fight for. 6. Shipping cost adjustments you don’t notice. 7. Bad shipping templates that result in lost money when heading out. 8. Poor gift card management and you lose track or never get what you ordered. 9. Items you buy to hold but you didn’t organize well and missed the sell window. 10. Items you had 50% ROI on but didn’t prep fast enough and dropped to 10% by the time you did. 11. Building cash back or rewards into your profit and it never gets paid out. 12. Unaccounted storage fees, placement fees, or prep fees. 13. Software, lead list, or info bloat that isn’t being attached to your P&L. 14. Poor repricing practices which slow down your per unit volume. 15. Bad cash flow management forcing you to leverage and pay interest or loan fees. The list goes on. Yes you should continue to get better at sourcing, learning new stores, categories, pushing higher AOVs, etc. Until you are dialed in on the moving parts between inventory, prep, cash, and sales though you can be losing your shirt and not even realize it. For years. You work hard for your money. You’re robbing yourself blind by not knowing where every dollar is going and to whom.
