If you can't pray for 30 minutes, pray for 10. If you can't read a chapter of Scripture, read half. If you can't pray a rosary, pray a decade. If you can't give $10 to the poor, give $1. If you can't stop sinning, stop excusing your sin. Christ will perfect you. Just begin.

"Your most important business is the care of your soul. This is why, before leaving your room in the morning, you should spend at least a quarter of an hour in meditating on the life, the Passion, and the death of Our Lord Jesus Christ." - St. Paul of the Cross

I am a Conservative and that means I want to conserve the principles and values that our nation was originally founded upon. Conservatism champions the individual. Individualism and free thinking is powerful and must be protected but individualism can be a major negative because the individual can struggle to see the bigger picture - the end goal. It also all too often attracts the need for the spotlight and the inability to unite for the goal. The desperate desire to stand out and be seen. We saw this on the right these last two years. Podcasters throwing constant shade at the Trump Administration, members of Congress repeatedly screaming about a dead pedophile, and rabidly obsessing over a country the size of New Jersey. It was relentless. Democrats don’t do this. They proudly stood next to an incompetent man in a suit who shook hands with the air. Why? Because they want control. They know if they have control they have the power. They unite and forge ahead. Now they control both the House and the Senate and most likely our next SCOTUS seat. I hope people realize that spotlight fades. But our principles don’t have to. That only happens if we decide the goal is still worth more than being seen or even being right. Right now, too many on our side are choosing the latter. The other side has already made their choice, and they’re sauntering toward the finish line.

We are called to be salt and light no matter the present atmosphere we find ourselves in. We are not of this world, yet we are called to be its salt and light. Just as Christ brought the light of eternal love into the darkness, we too are invited to shine with His grace. Our imperfect world gives us the opportunity to rise above, to care for others, and to build God’s Kingdom here on earth. Let us not fear the challenges we face, for through them, we can become instruments of God’s love, bringing hope, peace, and joy to those around us. As we walk this path, may we always remember that we are not alone; God walks with us and guides us to be the light He desires us to be. Amen. #CatholicTwitter #CatholicX #Catholic

Today is Election Day. Vote. After you vote, give it to God. Regardless of what happens today my hope will remain strong, because my hope isn’t in the outcome of elections. My hope isn’t in government. My hope isn’t in fallible people who happen to choose right. My hope is in Jesus. As Christians we are in this world but we are not of it. We can’t control most of what we see. Specific people in power won’t save us, humans without God will repeatedly indulge in sin and are corruptible. That’s why Jesus and the power of what He did for us on the cross is the answer to every single problem we face. It is finished. God is already ahead of us in time. He saw it. He wrote it. It’s done. This ends well for those that have accepted what Jesus has done for us. It’s a free gift and available to all. Everything God said He will do in His word -He will do. We are literally watching a lot of what He said unfold right now. Specific countries aligning, apostasy, the hate for Israel, the advancement of technology setting up for a global system and more. It’s all there. God has to fulfill His word or He isn’t God. The reassurance of that is what provides hope, peace, joy, and an increase of faith. Live life, make plans, enjoy every moment, share the gospel, take dominion, VOTE, and occupy till He comes. And let His Kingdom come. ✝️🙏

🚨Election Day: Go Vote‼️ God still expects us to utilize our talents (votes) to discern the highest good for everyone involved by casting our votes, rather than succumbing to cowardice and burying our talents (votes) in hopelessness, as demonstrated by the person in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) who feared not making a difference with his single talent. No matter today’s mid-term election outcomes, God still sits on the throne and has authority over all nations. We have nothing to fear for we are in Christ and he dwells within us. We offer our gratitude for all we “freely receive” from our almighty God. Thank you for nailing our sins to the cross so we can live freely to love, serve, and adore you today and for eternity. Lord, with our votes, help us to have a share in making our nation a royal priesthood, a holy nation under God (1 Peter 2:9)! @CatholicVote @USCCB @Pontifex #ElectionDay #Christian #CatholicTwitter #CatholicX

“The saints suffered. Therese had tuberculosis. Teresa of Avila had cancer of the stomach. Padre Pio had perpetual diarrhea and asthma. Bernadette had asthma too. Mother Cabrini had high fever to malaria she contracted during her travels. Holiness is not for wimps and the cross is not negotiable, sweetheart, it’s a requirement”. -Mother Mary Angelica (to me) Happy All Saints Day

It’s heartbreaking to think about all the souls in purgatory who no one is praying for anymore. I want to make more of an intentional effort to help these poor souls and spread devotion. Will you do it also? Here are 22 ways to offer then relief & aid them in their purgation: Ask others to pray for those in purgatory. Burn blessed candles for them. Pray at gravesites. Ask priests for a blessing for the souls in purgatory. Send them your guardian angels. Short prayers to God for them throughout the day. Specific reparatory acts for them. Ask God to send you sufferings for them. Fast for them. Implore the Saints for them. Consecrate to Mary specifically for them. Offer small daily sacrifices for them. Pray Novenas for them. Adore the Blessed Sacrament for them. Pray the chaplet of St. Gertrude the Great. Pray the chaplet of Divine Mercy for them. Pray the Rosary for them. Obtain indulgences for them. Do acts of charity offered on their behalf. Do the Stations of the Cross for them. Have Masses offered for them. Attend Masses and offer up your intentions for them.

The Solemnity of All Saints, which we celebrate today, invites us to share in the joy of that countless family of men and women who, following the Lord Jesus, have made their lives a gift to God and to their neighbors.

Today, we give thanks to God for our retired priests who have dedicated their lives to serving Christ and His Church. I am especially grateful to this year’s honorees, Fr. Ulysses D’Aquila and Fr. Larry Goode, for their many years of faithful priestly service. May God bless our retired priests for the countless ways they have cared for His people.
