One of my all-time favorite type of videos is pre-fame bands playing their extremely famous songs to a tiny room of people, because they're not yet known.
A thread of some examples:

These are not CGI. Reinforcement learning is so back. When operating on strings, it gives us o3. When operating on physical motors, it gives us a perfect humanoid backflip and a robot creature that out-maneuvers almost every animal on earth. RL is one of the only learning algorithms that can master both the world of bits and the world of atoms.
Give me a reward function, and I shall move the world.
2025, Year of RL.
Seeing the o3 leap in this chart is a stark indication we’re either at AGI or just a step away. I’m more convinced than ever that we’ve either reached AGI or are on the cusp of it. The exponential rise is undeniable—and it’s a thrilling moment for AI!

Today OpenAI announced o3, its next-gen reasoning model. We've worked with OpenAI to test it on ARC-AGI, and we believe it represents a significant breakthrough in getting AI to adapt to novel tasks.
It scores 75.7% on the semi-private eval in low-compute mode (for $20 per task in compute ) and 87.5% in high-compute mode (thousands of $ per task). It's very expensive, but it's not just brute -- these capabilities are new territory and they demand serious scientific attention.
