A firefighter has come to the aid of a deer that fell through ice on a river in the US. The struggling animal was eventually successfully freed and returned to the wild. Watch more videos: trib.al/AUkOvey

Red Arrows are the Pride of Lincolnshire. I attended a talk given by the Red Arrow Pilot and it was so informative and just so amazing ❤️

Please RT for all the cleaning staff across the NHS. It would be impossible to keep patients safe without them.

We’re trying to get as many followers as Rishi Sunak this Christmas so we can show the government just how many people are prepared to fight for the NHS and its staff. Please can you take a few seconds to help by following us and retweeting this?

Congratulations and Well Done VC Professor Neal Juster (staff and students) University of Lincoln for being awarded national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold status again, the highest rating for delivering consistently outstanding standards 👏👏
My article reflecting upon the past year and looking forward towards 2024 is live today. It's important to remember why we do what we do: to make a difference. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. lncn.ac/msgvc

Ten years ago today, we lost a great champion of justice, equality, democracy, and profound decency. After he was released from prison Nelson Mandela devoted his life to inclusive tribalism, even including those who had supported his imprisonment. I was grateful for the chances we had to work together both in and out of office. I pray that the divisive tribalism practiced in so much of the world today will soon give way to his wiser course. I still miss him all the time.

🥲🥲Today we were let down very badly by ‘Active Arena’ Lincoln. They failed to acknowledge our grandson’s (pre booked & pre paid) birthday party). A very embarrassing situation indeed. ‘Venue Jump Inc Lincoln’ came to our rescue. The Manager Abbie and Staff are the true heroes

Happy Birthday 🎂🎉
Happy 90th Birthday Dr Krishnan Guru-Murthy! He's at work today as usual, in the NHS, where he must surely by now be the longest serving Consultant Radiologist on record. He became an NHS doctor when he arrived in the UK in 1962 and was made a consultant in the early 1970s. Here are a few photos of Dad - the most recent I have with my Mum recently and the oldest I have when they got married, and a few in between with my brother and sister. We don't have any from when he was a boy because he was orphaned young and the family lost everything as refugees in the war anyway. He's a remarkable man - and we're all very grateful for him still being around to dispense his wit and kindness to us, his grandchildren and everyone.
