Its evident, Canada 'needs' immigration for the foreseeable future.
BREAKING: Canada's Carney’s government has released its 2027–29 immigration plan: - 380,000 new permanent residents a year - 370,000 new temporary residents a year (workers and students) - Up to 348,000 more people already in Canada moved to permanent status through one-time programs Combined, that could push permanent resident admissions well past the record of about 485,000 set in 2024, per CBC

Look at this… More to come, let’s goooo.
In Budget 2026, we’re cutting Canada’s marginal effective tax rate on new business investment from 13% to 6.4% — the lowest of any major economy in the world. That means businesses, large and small, can deduct the full cost of most new investments. Making Canada the best place in the world to build.

There you have it… “Budget 2026 proposes to extend the ban on foreign purchases of existing residential properties for two years, to January 1, 2029, while exempting new residential properties,” So basically only foreign buyers will be able to afford new construction.

Excited about our new Bee devices launching today. They turn your conversations into summaries, to-dos, and reminders, so the details are there when you need them. Bee Frontier goes on your wrist or clips to your clothing, and Bee Eclipse snaps to the back of your phone to catch what you'd otherwise forget throughout your day, whether it's notes from a class you're taking, the details of a trip you're planning, or an idea that comes to you in the car. They connect to Alexa+ and Amazon.com, so the things you mention are easy to find later. And you're always in control…one button turns it on or off, a light shows when it's on, audio is never stored, and only you can see your data. Think folks are gonna find this really handy. aboutamazon.com/news/devices…

Weird times. Renting a smaller unit or condo between $1400-$2500 is a struggle in the Fraser Valley. Same time larger properties btwn $4500-$7000 are renting fairly quickly as if there is no signs of our economy slowing down. K-Shaped economy?

This guy is threatening them….
Ten developers are hoarding more than $2 billion worth of finished condos while families flip through listings wondering why they can't afford a place to live. Not anymore. Sell them within a year, or pay the tax.

Quite often I find founders of large or growing development companies started as a framer. I know what my kids are going to be doing for their summer jobs. 😅

I dont know if anyone has noticed this past year. But thanks to AI, it is making everyone sound too litigious in emails. Not everything is that big of deal. 🫡

Canada’s next ten years will be materially better than the last. Long Canada. 🇨🇦
Blackstone President Jon Gray says Canada has massive opportunities to grow due to its natural resources, looser regulatory policies and access to private capital. “Canada is a sleeping giant economically," he said Tuesday at an investment summit in Toronto bloom.bg/46maKk1

Supply is tightening a lot faster than demand in the GTA August is a pretty common month for people to take listings down to relist in the fall. But if this trend holds, the market will balance in favour of sellers a lot faster than many anticipated.

These people have no idea where they fit on the food chain
Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know. The largest ice cream company in Canada used to source fruit and nuts from American suppliers — for some, for over 30 years. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products. So, what did Chapman's do? 📷 They called Italy. 📷 They called Spain. 📷 They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers. And the vice president said it perfectly: "Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we're about to sign long-term deals with other countries — and the American companies that supply them will have nothing but their eyes to cry for." Oh, and on top of ALL that? They're COLDing their prices so that the average Canadian doesn't have to spend a single cent more. It's a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream." That's what Canadian pride looks like. Next time you're at the grocery store — grab some Chapman's. Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.
