This. To those recently laid off, especially to my old Riot colleagues now joining the club - you are seen. You are valuable. It isn't your fault. F that noise. Go keep kicking ass. I love you all, and please do not hesitate to reach out and chat. It goes a long way, I promise.

Layoffs ruin lives. They crush self-esteem; they ravage financial security; they sabotage careers; they take and they take and they take. The video game industry has laid off an estimated 30,000+ people since the beginning of 2022. It has shattered 30k+ lives. It must change.

Hey yall! Unfortunately I have been laid off from Riot as well. I’m truly grateful to have worked with such a kind, passionate, and truly amazing group of devs over the years. A big thank u to my friends and to the players - I’m excited to see what the next chapter will be!

Hey folks, I'm compiling a list of resources to help out with the Riot layoffs today. If you have industry experience and are comfortable having ex-Rioters reach out for referrals, folio reviews, or anything else, please comment and I'll collect your contact info privately!

I'm impacted. I'm going to look at the internal job board because I don't know if I'm done with Riot yet, but if I am it was a great 7.5 years.

Hey everyone! I'm sad to say this but I have been impacted by the recent Riot layoff. I have given my all to Riot and I met so many amazing people there. These were some of the best years of life but now its back to the job board. Check out my recent works!

I've just been laid off after 4.5 years of being a Character Artist at Riot Games. During my time on LoL, I made 23 skins and outsource managed over 40 skins. I only have 60 days to find a new job in the US before my visa expires so I'm looking for a new job asap 💕(EU or US)

Hi! Audio Designer here. Just want to reiterate the importance of this. Getting audio in the room early can yield some great results for you in setting up systems you didn't even know needed to exist. It's also more beneficial to have a back and forth with other artists to way! – at Torrance, CA

To all those that are laid off, and those that are survivors - be there for one another. Reach out to folks, connect, hug, endorse, gas each other up. This, a time when we've become most fractured, is the time to come together the most.

My heart is with all 1900 of those affected at Activision Blizzard. This is a harrowing time for game dev and it’s heartbreaking to see so many people’s lives uprooted like this.
