Winyer spins three no-hit innings!
The @Padres No. 15 prospect strikes out three along the way. This past MiLB season, Chourio struck out a career-high 122.

Ethan Salas made his long-awaited MLB debut this season after returning to form as one of the game’s best prospects. He was the only non-DSL Padres prospect under 21 years old to own a K% under 15% on the year.
Salas’ swing decisions and whiff avoidance is elite, especially for his age. His 16% K% at Double-A ranked him in the 90th percentile, while his 15.4% Whiff% put him in the 97th percentile. A remarkable bounce-back season.
San Diego Padres MiLB Team Of The Year is out now on my Substack. Features:
- Ethan Salas
- Braedon Karpathios
- Alex McCoy

Padres offense in the second half
Highest batting average in MLB
2nd highest OPS in MLB
2nd most runs in MLB
Bringing back France, Rengifo probably healthy in June & Laureano may be good unless trades happen. Sato or some other strong LHB would be icing on the cake
Ethan Salas scooping up all of Fermin's at bats should be a huge difference maker in 2027
Padres have desperately needed another productive LHB plus removing Fermin from the lineup
