Gonna get this off my chest. We CANNOT in the BIG 2026 AND VERY SOON in the BIG 2027 not giving commentators around a month heads up minimum for an event. I'm sick and tired of it and I cannot believe it is still happening since the day I first started commentating. It's disrespectful and wasteful. TO's all know how expensive tournaments have been getting to run with the cost of everything increasing. So please understand that it includes all people working underneath you as well. I've been burned too many times with late notices with nothing covered and shoddy pay. I grew up commentating and understand that every time I get the chance to do it, it's a blessing. I truly do feel that way and yet I feel just... disrespected? If that makes sense? Ever since I moved out away from LA, flying out to tournaments have gotten significantly move expensive and hard to pilot around to the point where I never even attempted it until recently. It broke my wallet and it was frustrating because if I was given a better heads up, the flight prices went down to 150. Because I wasn't given a proper heads up, I had to pay 650+ dollars for a round trip. I realistically shouldn't have done this, but idk Ive been so desperate to get my name back out for commentary and such, I felt like this was a 'risk' I had to take. Feeling conflicted as hell. My dreams of commentary started out just a teenage dream but perhaps may be crushed in 2027. Something has to change. I love casting so much I don't want to stop but... Yeah.
