Not to get too involved in this, but a lot of us gamers are just playing games that were great. Nothing puts things into perspective then a side by side comparison, and in my humble opinion, things used to be better.

I don’t even get what they want to play. It’s like four total games they don’t consider woke

Chronikin Spotlight: Magada are seldom seen in groups due to being intensely territorial. This aggression extends to anyone braving their often inhospitable domains and they'll attack all who approach, despite being rather small themselves. Fortunately, they are only ever typically found near Amajima's volcanoes, hot springs and other geothermal locations. Their bodies are bright orange and slender, appearing almost amphibian, tucked away into a black, hard urn-shaped shell. The shell, which resembles igneous rock, can be fully retreated into. However, Magada seem to prefer lashing out, spewing heat and bolts of lava at its foes.
Despite being such an aggressive Chronikin, many Archivist search them out, claiming that the trials associated with bonding are a sign of divine providence. Due to this, they are often associated in many creation myths of Amajima.

I think I'm getting the hang of this digital art thing. I just needed to find brushes that are basically just pencils 😆 Working on some of the field research sketches for the Archivist that is referenced in my game. He saw a fire snail and called it an Ember Shell.
Man, I can't wait to show this bad boy off. The team did a fantastic job.

Chronikin Spotlight: Garbin appear ancient even by Zarakarian standards. Once thought to be Nature aspect, due to the large tree trunks sprouting out of its back, it has now been observed that they are in fact the Geo aspect. The trees erupting from their backs are petrified and thus more stone than wood, while the draping moss seems secondary to its anatomy. Garbin seem docile due to their slow meandering. However, they are quick to aggression, savagely protecting the cedar forests of the Zarakari Mountains. Despite their aggressive nature, once bonded, a Garibin offers fevered protection towards its allies. Many priests of Zarakarian holy sites use them as guardians.
Sunday night relaxation. Not sure if I'll beat OG OoT before the remake releases but that's ok. It's such a good game to take your time in.
Got another concept done. Sarumichi is his name! The thing on his head is a large tairagai (Japanese pen shell) that he uses as a club. This Chronikin underwent an entire concept shift and was originally named Akurasoku.
It's sometimes a little embarrassing seeing my initial sketches along side the awesome end product from our artists. However, it is my design and I can't help feeling an immense sense of pride seeing my creatures getting the love and attention they deserve.
At 6 weeks its hard to see, but look at my little jelly bean! Baby is small but had a strong heart at 114 BPM, strong like dad 💪😤

Chronikin come in all shapes and sizes, and also apparently this as well 😄
Chronikin Spotlight: Though just recently archived, Basheklet is believed to be one of the first Chronikin to appear in the physical world. Its utterly alien appearance stumped researchers and it was originally mistakenly identified as a Prosaic. However, discovering that it could be bonded with erased any doubt of its nature as a Chronikin. The undulating mass of purple liquid seems to contain no internal body, though it does appear to have celestial bodies within its dense interior. The tendrils that sprout from its pooled body can create constructs and thus Basheklet is tied to many creation myths. Despite it's lack of facial features, the few who have encountered one say its emotions can be felt, though how Bashaklet accomplish this is unknown.

Chronikin Spotlight: Korachnora are an arboreal species of Chronikin. They are often mistaken for fruit due to their habit of perching on the boughs of healthy strawberry trees, sometime staying motionless for hours. However, if disturbed they quickly skitter away deeper into the canopy, even jumping from tree to tree. Though arachnid in appearance, their body upon closer inspection has more plant-like features. Instead of a chitinous exoskeleton, their legs are smooth and hard like the bark of the aforementioned Strawberry tree, while their abdomens are spikey and rough.
Though sometimes observed to be curious, they are typically easily startled and stray away from people and civilization. Preferring to make their homes in the thick spots of forests dotting the Deolis wilderness.
We sat down to do a session zero with my family yesterday and my daughter was being an absolute pill, and my son kept interrupting. So, I told them that we weren't going to continue because they weren't being respectful and I dont want to GM for players that wont respect me like I do them. My daughter was especially sad. So when I came to bed, I found this on my nightstand 😢 I had a talk with her and we're going to try again next weekend.
